Hello there crafters! Today's giveaway is a gentle card, very subtle with a white and gold theme, but really pretty in person. I started by embossing
coconut white card with the
Star Swirls embossing folder. I rubbed
Enchanted Gold gilding wax over the top of the embossing for a subtle accent. Next, I ran dries clear glue all the way around the edge and coated it with
Iced Snow and allowed it to dry. For the focal element, I cut an oval using the
Peeking Snowflake. I added a gold edge by using the oval dies from both the
Peeking Snowflake and the Lattice Snowflake die sets. I cut several of the
Jingle Bells die in white card and sprayed them with glue to stack them for dimension. I sprayed the top of the sentiment and then sugared it with
Diamond Sprinkles. One more
Jingle Bells die was cut in gold and I used it as an offset shadow, gluing it below. I created several poinsettias for the card by cutting the
Classic Poinsettia out of
vellum in a variety of sizes and adding the
Open petal Poinsettia cut out of white card on top. I offset two for each flower and added a
small clear Dazzler to the centres. I arranged the larger flower on a piece of
white tulle, then set the two smaller flowers in the opposite corner. I pierced a white mat, then added a thin gold mat and another white layer to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8 1/4" in size. If you would like a chance to win this card, just leave me a comment and I will enter you into the drawing. The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x
