Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello bloggers!!  This is a sort of sneak peek for Thursday shows (4pm and 7pm on C & C) as well as the card offering for today!  I embossed the background with the Art Deco Rose folder to give it some texture.  Next I cut a frame out of black card using the Classic Adorned Rectangle Noble die set.  I love the debossed detail around it!  For the background on the inside of the frame, I used the Lavish Swirls Diagonal die and out of coconut white card,  cut the centre decorative die repeatedly until I had enough to cover the entire inside area of the frame.  I placed the piece onto another piece of coconut white card that had a double sided sticky sheet attached to it.  I then coated all the remaining exposed areas with Diamond Sprinkles for a tone on tone bling.  I mounted the background behind the frame on the diagonal, just to be a bit different, but you can easily mount it vertically or horizontally if you prefer.  I trimmed away the excess from around the underneath edge of the frame and glued it to my embossed background.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Pierced Flag die and matted it in black using the next size up in the set.  I added it across my frame with mounting foam and created a Cornflower to sit on the edge of it.  I seated the flower on some white tulle, a white satin ribbon bow and a black jute twine bow.  I made two matching stick pins out of black teardrop beads and white pearls and inserted them into the knot of the bow.  I completed the card with a black and white matting with my usual paper pierced inner layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  Just leave me a comment if you would like to be included in the drawing to win this elegant black and white card.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post as usual!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue.
Stunning. The mono combo always looks so expensive and classie, its one of those that stand out amongst other's, I love the embossing folder used on this card must look out for that at my little craft shop.
Im so looking forward to watching and recording your show's tomorrow. I remember Dean saying that when our 'other half goes to sky+ a program they panic when they see how full the planner is full of Sue Wilson POTD Sue Wilson OTO' and it made me smile I have to say as I sat there thinking of our sky box and many many more sky boxes full of Sue Wilson show's recorded or set to record lol never mind, I dare say there are many 'man recordings' that could be deleted to make more space (for more Sue Wilson show's of course) who needs all those car programs to be saved anyway, cant learn anything from Top Gear that would be at all useful - right ? Lol.
So hope you have a good day Sue and that you are all organised for tomorrow knowing there will be hundred's of us shushing our family up so we dont miss a single detail lol.
Hugs to you Sue. Thinking of our Tina today and big hugs to Sam.

What could anyone want more than turning on the laptop to find a wonderful Sue Wilson piece of art and in Monochrome too!!!
This colour palette is always a success and certainly looks very expensive and classic.
I love your format today; your Noble die once again centre stage and making that beautiful statement.

I have my fingers crossed that we have Internet connection tomorrow ready for your shows.

We are still rain free but I have just heard a roll of thunder so fingers crossed today may be the day we get some well needed rain.

To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue & Wilsonettes

Wow!! A stunning card Sue, love everything about it & the Noble die certainly lives up to its name...what a fabulous idea for the diagonal die cut to make a background.
As for the Pierced flag in itself it is also a noble die because it does give grandeur to the card...I have used this myself many a time & believe it or not I have even used the pierced flag to label my craft storage boxes & folders...luckily I already had them cut out ready so managed to put them on with your dbl sided sticky tape...they really do make the labelling look classy & super...easy to do even with damaged fingers...lol...

The mono colour scheme is certainly very striking & there you have my fave stick pins...what a complete delight for one super lucky recipient to win...I have the Cornflower on my list to get which is yet another striking addition to your beautiful card.

LORRAINE...elated to see that you haven't combusted yet...only one more sleep...go on you know you can do it...lol...Anyone else who cannot wait & they fell like combusting then I have just 6 words for you..."we'll miss you if you do"...lol...x x x

CHERYL...dear friend I wrote it down yesterday but don't know where it is gone...but wanted to say that your lovely Pete would be proud of you for raising such a fantastic amount of money for the cardiomyopathy charity...& of course you should be so proud not just of the achieved amount but for the fact that you devoted yourself to bring about such a beautiful, selfless deed...Love 'n' (((((HUGS))))) to you dear friend x x x It is at moments like this that I feel so enriched with being a part of Sue's wonderful Blog & part of the lives & friendship of her devoted followers x x x

LYNDA'S CRAFT'S...relieved for you & little Annie to hear that the injections are making her more comfortable...bless her...Love 'n' (((((HUGS))))) to you all my dear friend x x x

KATIE-LOUISE...sincerely hope that your little Annie got on at the vets okay yesterday...please let us know the outcome as we are all thinking of you & hoping that the news was not as awful as was probably dreaded....sending (((((HUGS))))) wags & woofs x x x

LYNDA M...Congratulations on your grandchild...enjoy your little bundle of joy & sincerest congratulations to your daughter (((((HUGS))))) x x x

ECCO...I know how you feel so I truly hope that you are able to get sorted with the problems of your laptop soon x x x

I agree with you Stephanie C tomorrow will be my turn to shush hubby at 4pm & 7pm...oh drat I wont get the chance or the privilege because he is working...oh well maybe another time...lol...

Well friends I must leave you till the morrow...take care & wishing you a lovely day
but in the meantime sending Love 'n' (((((Hugs))))) to you Sue & all our lovely Wilsonettes...Beth B x x x

Looking forward to watching your show's tomorrow to see what stunning sample's you have to show us and of course your great inspiration to create some beautiful card's.

Morning Sue
If this is a 'sort of sneak peak' I'm thinking that maybe the noble dies could be part of the one day wonder. If they are I will be over the moon as they are at the top of my want list.
This is a stunning card. It is so elegant. Black and white is such a classy colour combination.

Loopy Lynda - Congrats Nanny!!

Saba - no broccoli passed my lips yesterday. Lots of chocolate!!!

Lorraine - does that mean that your face will look like Kylie's ...............?

Nia - Welcome to the wonderful world of the Wilsonettes. It wasn't that long ago that I was a newby. I only began posting comments earlier this year.

Cheryl - well done on your fundraising - brilliant x

Sarah (fame01) - hang in there. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and I do hope that your son is going to be ok x

Thank you everybody for your Birthday wishes. Had a lovely day with lots of friends and family popping in. Dinner at a friends house then watched tv and chilled with my 17 year old whilst stuffing my face.
I am all set for the one day wonder as my hints for birthday money worked. Bring it on!!

Can I just add one more thing? I would never try and influence you Sue, but would like to point out that having had my birthday yesterday and intending to treat myself to your one day wonder tomorrow, the perfect end to my week would be to win the Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway. Not that I would ever try and influence you but the above facts are definitely worth bearing in mind!
Just thought I'd point that out, lol.

Going to try and get through today containing my dangerously over excited feelings about tomorrows Sue shows.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone

Good morning Sue and fab Wilsonettes!

You are such a tease Sue, it has been super hard to contain myself this week and now you are pushing me to the absolute brink with this little taster:-) and what's not to love, it has all of your signature elements and boy have I missed the stick pins. I love your use of the Lavish Swirls as a background and the noble dies create a perfect frame as always. This is classic Sue at its best and I cannot wait until tomorrow to see what delights you have in store.
I am hoping that I will be home in time to catch the 4pm show live. I have a hospital appointment to fit a 24hr heart monitor and it will be tested to the limit by my overwhelming excitement! Perhaps it would be wise to inform the cardiologist in advance about the inevitable spikes between 4pm and 8pm otherwise they may want to fit a pacemaker:-)
Steph C, you made me giggle, my own Sky+ is chockablock with old Sue shows that I refuse to delete, thankfully is don't have a man interfering with my Sue fetish!
Yvonne, glad you had a lovely day you brazen hussy! I don't blame you using emotional blackmail to get your mitts on a Sue original, I think if anybody deserves it this week it's you....if not for your birthday, your cheek! Also, unfortunately my face doesn't resemble Kylies face....or her bum!
Lynda, congrats on your new addition, hope he brings you much joy.
Little Molly, Thankyou for your lovely comments, I do hope your gran and granddad are okay and that his treatment goes wellxxxxxx
Beth, I'm still hanging on by a thread, 24hrs and counting:-)

Love and crafty hugs,

Good Afternoon Sue & All The Wilsonettes,
I hope you are all well & enjoying good weather, wherever you are? I hope that all of you, who are suffering with illness or bereavements, are strong again, VERY SOON! I am feeling a lot better than I was, this time last week, although I am still waiting for an appointment to go into hospital for a small operation (AGAIN) to remove bladder stones! I have had it done twice before but it seems that, because of my disability, my body is making stones (OR I AM JUST ONE OF THE UNLUCKY ONES!)! Hopefully I will find out what is causing this, when I go in AGAIN!
I have been VERY busy, over the last few days, making Christmas cards with your new set of Festive Dies, Sue & everyone who sees them is AMAZED by their beauty & elegance (I hope this doesn't sound like I'm bragging, as I'm not!)!!
You have produced another stunning card again, Sue! I LOVE the black & white look & the glitter, behind the frame, really makes it look special! WELL DONE, AGAIN!
I would love to be in with a chance of winning such a beautiful creation!
With Love & Best Wishes,
Mary Blight XXX

Absolutely gorgeous as usual Sue.

I have a lot of catching up to do. Was admitted to hospital last week with a minor stroke. It's played havoc with my eyes, it's a struggle to see anything past the end of my nose.

My husband bought me some dies from the latest snowflake collection so I hope to play tomorrow if my friend comes to help me. xx Annie P

Hi Sue and lovely ladies
this is a gorgeous monochrome card, a black and white delight! I was thinking have we got a new die here? Or have I missed something? Thank goodness for your notes Sue. I love the background and it just goes to show that you can use the same dies in completely different ways and they look totally different, our recipients continue to be dazzled because they are not left thinking they have received a similar card before, even if we have used the same dies. This just shows what a creative imagination you have Sue. Stunning!
Sarah, so sorry to hear about your friend, I hope your son is OK x
Molly I hope your Grandad gets through his chemo well, my sister-in-law is having chemo too, sending best wishes to you, your Nan and Grandad x
Lynda - hope Annie has recovered from having injections and they are helping her. Hope she is on the mend.Sending hugs xx
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, one more sleep till Sue's on the telly, woohoo.
Love and blessings - Deb C xx
