Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  We have a New York Collection card up for grabs today!  Just leave me a comment on today's post if you would like to be included in the drawing later this month.  I started by cutting two of the Madison Squares in coconut white card, one with the centre cut out.  I stamped my sentiment in the centre of the solid die cut and embossed it in gold.  I added our new strip pearls in white around the inside edge of the frame.  I mounted it in the upper corner of a larger piece of white card.  Using both the Complete petal and the Open Petal Camellia die sets, I created a variety of flowers out of vintage gold card.  I mounted these around the bottom corner of the die along with several Mosaic Leaves, Trailing Ivy and Splendid Swirls (and the twiddlybit that is also part of that set) that I also cut out of coconut white card.  I scattered a few small white flatback pearls around the background as well.  I added a white paper pierced mat layer, then a thin gold card mat and a final white mat to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Sorry it is so late. I just had to say "Thank you" right back to you !! For everything that you do for us crafters. This card is gorgeous Sue !! I love all the dies you have used, the layout is fab and the Camelia Flowers are just fantastic in the Vintage Gold card !! Really beautiful. I love the coconut white card and the Vintage Gold card together. They are such a lovely colour combo. Your new swirly dies look lovely Sue. The problem is I love all your dies but cannot afford them all in one go. I wish I could !! But the new swirly ones are definately there on my gigantic wish list !! I have also got my eye on those new adhesive pearl strings. They look gorgeous !! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful card today. Lots of love Tres x x x

Hiya Sue,
What a stunning card, I adore the white and gold colour scheme, it is pure understated elegance.
I haven't crafted for nearly a year, spending most of that time in hospital-however, I made the effort to catch up with your blog each day and it provided me with the inspiration to keep fighting towards recovery. I went to my first scrapbooking class last Saturday armed with a folder of your dies and I actually bought the Splendid Swirls whilst there.
Thanks for giving me an idea with todays card, I can't wait to give it a go myself.
It goes without saying that I would love to win one of your masterpieces to frame for my craftroom, but I wish all the Wilsonettes good luck regardless:-)xxx

Can you please tell us how you mail your cards? Some of them are so full of flowers and bows, what do you put them in so they don't get ruined?

Thank you, very much
