Best Wishes

Good Sunday morning all!  I just love this Trailing Ivy die and thought it would love gorgeous done up as a wreath (I do sort of have a thing about wreaths!)  I can't honestly say just how many of these that I cut to form the wreath, but I did use both of the dies to create it and I also did a bit of nipping them apart to change the look of them as well.  I used the Knotted trellis embossing folder to create the texture for the background.  I used Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue to adhere the white ivy pieces to the background in a circular fashion.  I only glued the ends down though so many of the leaves were able to hang a bit free to give it a more natural look.  I stamped my sentiment and heat embossed it in gold.  I used the Pierced Flag die set to cut it out.  While it was still in the die, I inked it ever so lightly with Bundled Sage distress ink.  Finally I finished the card with my signature pierced edge.  I used thee same green card for a thin mat and then competed the card with a wider white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.

Sunday Smiles to you Sue. IS it a holiday, or will it involve work too (that's if you class what you adore doing work) !! Well have a wonderful time, make more memories with your family and enjoy what R&R you have, you really deserve it after the fast and furious few months you've had. This time last week Wilsonette World was counting down to your first show, where has that week gone, I really need it back please lol.
Many congrats to all winners, good on ya Tres.
This is a 'go to' die for me, but yet again it takes Sue Wilson to show me another (but obvious) way to use it ! Well its obvious when you see it used in the most beautiful way like this. Its so plain but speaks volumes. I bet if you are i FL during Thankgiving etc you have the most beautiful wreath on the door, and the festive season too.
Lots to do today, but Im wishing everyone a good Sunday, to those in pain, unwell or down Im thinking of you. Hope you had a great birthday yesterday Janet.
Love n hugs to all.

We are going on holiday on Tuesday, a few days with friends first near Glasgow ( so I'll be able to go to the Hobbycraft Show and check out the goodies, on Thursday) and fly out to Tenerife for 3 weeks on the Friday, then a few days with family near Dunoon and then back home, so if I'm not commenting it will be due to no wifi connection.

Hi Sue,
What a lovely idea to use ivy to make a wreath, really pretty. Yesterday I made my first handbag, I am over the moon with it, and the instructions were really easy to understand. THANK YOU Izzy for sharing them with us. I know I will be making more as I sell my cards and boxes at charity events, hopefully now I can make even more money for the charities that I support.
Hope you have a lovely holiday Sue with your family...no one deserves it more than you!

Morning Sue
I just love your gifts bearing your fantastic wreaths. Once again your trailing ivy die does all the work and the result just showcases how beautiful your dies really are. I always love to put ivy into flowers as these days it's not often that you get greenery in a bunch of flowers.

Sue - have the most fantastic and relaxing holiday which you more than deserve after the last few manic months. Enjoy being with your Mom and your family over the pond. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you to all for my Birthday wishes - I had a really good day and was spoilt by the family.

To all in pain or suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. We still have very high winds this morning. It was quite frightening here last night.
See you tomorrow.

Hello Sue,

Oh how I love this Ivy die!...makes a super wreath even in plain white, so today's card is right up my street...is that green card available in the Foundations range?...

Congratulations to all the winners...

Ladies, thank you for your amazing feedback yesterday, it was totally overwhelming!...I hope you enjoy making up one or two of these bags and have as much fun doing it as I did...and the newly released Geminis would also work for bag fronts, especially Delphinus...but if anyone is a bit worried about getting it wrong then tell yourself you're not making one of the bags, you're just making a PROTOTYPE - use your cheapest basic cardstock, that way you can allow yourself to make mistakes and we all learn best from those!...lol

Janet Hampson - Wow, you've already made one up?...so glad you found the instructions easy to follow.

Hi Sue,

Love it, a favourite die for sure. Finds it's way on to a lot of cards as it looks as great with other die cuts as it does in multles arranged as a frame for an image. I brought this die on release to be a part of the paper Christmas wreathes I like to make, on cards and to hang. I must've spent about 4 hours cutting the ivy, your tree branch (sorry, name escapes me right now! ) and other Christmas dies just to make half a dozen- they werw about 7" in diameter. Very fiddly, took aaaaaages but the recpients loved them and Billy took to watching the one on the door swing every time it opened and shut for almost a week!

If there's one thing you deserve it's a holiday! To unwind, sure but please don't forget to celebrate the success of recent die and stamp releases. The designs are proving so popular with crafters everywhere- we know this from when we try to buy them and they are sold out before we get there! If you are seeing Mom at all during your break give her a big hug from Billy and myself. I saw mentions of the northern lights- something I'd love to see but even during perioda of intense solar activity the view does not reach my little bit of Suffolk! Maybe one day- but until then I am happy with hi res photos and recordings to see those amazing colours. .

Congratulations to all the winners mentioned today. Enjoy your prizes/ cards. Xxx

Janet, glad you enjoyed your birthday xxx

Late one today, been a faffing sort of day really, not got much done at all. Still very sore. Made a chocolate cake wirh Mr W's help this evening and we all know that chocolate is the cure for almost everything!

Wishing Sue and all Wilsonettes a good, crafty week with happy times and messy hands. Hugs to you all, extra special hugs to anyone who needs a hand up for any reason and hoping for relief for those in pain.
