Thanks For Being There

Hi crafters!  How about a Gemini die channel card for today.  I have chosen a raspberry card (from my stash) and stamped my sentiment (from Bold Sentiments by Creative Exp.)with a clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it with True White detail embossing powder.  Next I cut four of the Ursa Gemini die in white using the decorative insert and one cutting edge.  I cut four matching pieces of raspberry backing pieces using just the one cutting edge (and cutting the back edge on the other side in my paper cutter).  I glued all the decorative pieces together with the backing pieces.  Next, I stacked three of them up so they were each peeking out from under the next and taped them together, added some mounting foam and attached them to the top of may card above my sentiment.  I added foam too the last one, turned it to face the top and attached it below my sentiment, creating a channel where the sentiment was stamped.  Next I cut several of the Complete petal Camellia in coconut white card and made a pretty flower, tipping the edges lightly with Picked Raspberry distress ink.  I coated it in Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and sugared it with Iced Snow for a bit of bling.  I seated the flower to the side of the sentiment in the channel with some white tulle, Mosaic leaves and a Splendid Swirl spray behind.  I finished the card with my usual white pierced layer, then a thin raspberry mat and a wider white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size.  Hope you like it!  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue
Hope you're not feeling too tired after that marathon week-end you've just had. I'm so pleased that I managed to get one of your NY bundles before the sell outs started.
I love today's gift. The raspberry backing just shows the Gemini die to perfection. I'm hoping that this die may be coming my way at the week-end as I've sown the seeds. Just hoping they germinate.lol.

Although I've only watched the first show up to now I see that many friends were mentioned and one very lucky lady won a SW piece of art. Congratulations Mrs B.
Izzy - your handbags are an absolute delight. Do you have a template for them?
Steph - hope everything goes well today.

I too think that housework etc should be banned and I have the perfect stamp if needed to be reminded. 'Crafting for ever housework NEVER'.

To all in pain or suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue,

Very "theatrical" card today with those repeating swags - just love it and since I have Ursa I shall be trying this myself...and congrats on your sell-out weekend!...it was wonderful to see that cup of chance brimming over with e-mails on every show...

HANDBAGS...

Ladies, I'm just going to e-mail Sue to see if we can figure out a way to post details of how to make up the bags - they're very simple to make, there are no actual templates as such (well, just one maybe for the sides of the Lyra clutch bag) but I have two prototypes left here that I can take measurements from and that's really all you would need with a brief run-through of how to cobble up each bag...but I don't want to become the Bag Lady who's spreading herself all over Sue's park bench and annoying everyone!...lol

Good morning Sue
What a Stunning card. Love the dramatic feel the raspberry card combined with coconut white gives. It really shows the Ursa die off to perfection.
Your shows were fantastic. You really pushed the boat out with all your amazing demos. There were so many ideas, hints and tips packed into them. I think that is one of the reasons your shows stand out from the rest, you don't just die cut and stick, but rather you show us inspirational ways to use our dies, new techniques (loved paper grouting) and you are not afraid to demo things which must be so scary to demonstrate live on air, like embossing paste.
Your demos are so clear and easy to follow, and you teach us so much, thank you Sue, you really must put so much thought and hard work into your pre show prep and it shows. The amount of emails showed just how much love and respect there is for you and your products.
And thank you for showing Izzys bags again, they are just gorgeous.
I was thrilled to have a couple of my emails read out and couldn't resist testing Nigel with his pronunciation of the german for Squirrel. It was lovely to hear so many Wilsonettes names being read out and then Mrs. B winning one of your wonderful cards was the icing on the cake!!
Looking forward to April already.

Izzy, you are not annoying anyone lady. We have fallen in love with your handbags and it showed on Sue's face during the shows that she has fallen for them too.

Love and hugs for all in need

Good morning Sue,
Love todays Raspberry and white with the gorgeous camellia flower. I am really enjoying playing with this die set as it makes so many different types of flowers for us. I was playing yesterday and made 3 Sue cards, or rather Sue dies cards. The Gemini dies are fast becoming a firm favourite just because of their versatility in design. Thank you Sue for all your hard work that you have put in this weekend for us and i hope that you get a couple hours rest before going at it hammer and tongs again. Take care dear friend as don't want you burning yourself out because of work overload. I have ordered some of your beads and spacers up just so that i can on some special cards make them look that bit more special. Thank you Sue for sourcing them for us and managing to get them into the country.
Issy haven't seen your butterfly flower but i did see two bags and they were stunning so thank you for inspiring us even more on Sue's wonderful blog.
After the marathon yesterday i am not quite in the pink today so i will leave you all with a basket full of hugs of all shapes and sizes for all that needs one both here on the blog and not, come home soon girls.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Good Morning Sue,
How are you this morning? Totally exhausted I think but do hope you are delighted with the response to the Weekender. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shows although I still have two to watch! Today's card is beautiful . I do like that die very much but Lyra is still my favourite Gemini . Having said that I don't have any of the new launch Gemini dies, ...yet!
Izzy - never a bag lady! Maybe a designer Bag Lady! Chanel, Dior - eat your heart out.
Great to hear all the familiar names read out and cards shown!

Hi Sue. I am so sorry I have been "missing again" but I caught some sort of tummy bug. Combined with my long term illness it totally knocked me off my feet for several days !! One big bonus though was that it provided me with the perfect opportunity to relax and watch all of your shows on c+c over the weekend. WOW, WOW, WOW !! What a weekend !! It has been amazing Sue. Your dies are just outstanding. Your samples are so incredibly gorgeous and your demo's were fab, with loads of hints, tips "tricks" and the new "grouting technique" !! WOW !! Then your wonderful surprise - a massive bumper pack of beautiful beads and stick pins that we have waited soooo long for. But Oh my were they worth the wait !! I just had to order them even though I could not really afford them. The way I see it is that they are a long term investment as I am certain I will be card making for many more years to come - hopefully !! I am a complete beginner with these stick pins and I cannot wait for them to arrive so I can get started.
Today's card is another WOW card for me. I love the colours you have used. I have yet to buy a Gemini Die, but they are all on my huge wish list. I just cannot collect all your die sets quickly enough. To be honest I have not got a clue which one to go for first as they are all so beautiful. The Ursa used on today's card is so pretty and using it to make a channel card with the sentiment in between is such a fab idea Sue. I love, love, love your new Camelia Dies and these to are on my wish list, along with the beautiful Mosaic Leaves Dies. Thank you for absolutely everything Sue. You are amazing !! Sending you lots of love and great big hugs from Tres x x x

Congratulations to the Wednesday Card Giveaway winner and all the winners of the comment game. Lots of love from Tres x x x

Izzy - What can I say about your handbag cards except WOW, WOW, WOW !! They are amazing. So clever, so beautiful, so inspirational, so girly and so wonderful !! Honestly Izzy, they are gorgeous. I love your Gemini Butterfly to. You are so talented. I really hope you could give us all some instructions for making them. Then maybe I could talk hubby round to just buying me one little Gemini Die so that I colud make some !! Thank you so much love from Tres x x x

To all the Wonderful Wilsonettes, have a lovely day everyone lots of love from Tres x x x

Hi Sue,

stunning colour card, the white really pops on that raspberry. The die has elbowed it's way to the top of my list, I managed to get those stamps from JS a few week ago, very pleased with them, I have all the shows recorded, and will catch up those I missed during the week, and see the ones I didn't miss again, just to drill into my head what I'm doing! I just hope that pizza had all the trimmings as you deserve it and that you are putting your feet up for a few days for a well deserved rest.

Izzy, I think your bags are amazing and would love it if something can be sorted so we can find out how they were made x

Having a crafty afternoon, but not cards sadly. Am finishing off some storage as I need to re jig my bedroom where the printer lives away from paint, ink and lord knows what in tje craft half a room. My new printer is bigger than my last one as it has a scanner too and I need to get a few things moved to fit it in. Also got to ring my Dad and arrange to get together so a busy (by my standards) day!

Just had some brilliant news, my nephew has just got an apprenticeship at a care home to start after he's finished college. He is really a caring young man and has always gotten on well with older people. He's 19 so he has a clearer idea of what he wants to do with his life.

Will sort the bloglovin thing asap but would rather sign up on the laptop than on my phone, I just prefer to sign up to new stuff that way.

Hugs to Wilsonettes everywhere, extra special hugs if you are ill, in any sort of pain, in treatment or recovery. Have a lovely rest of day!
