Sending Much Love

Hi crafters!  I was having a little play when making today's card and I liked the results!  I used two pieces of acetate and randomly dropped Crystal Tints all over one piece of the acetate.  I used Yellow Citrine, Pink Topaz, Green Emerald, and Tanzanite Blue Crystal Tints.  Next I placed the other piece of acetate over it and moved it around a bit to move the colours, then pulled it apart and set both halves aside to dry thoroughly.   Once dry, I cut one of them down a bit and embossed it with the Twill Weave embossing folder.  I used the larger piece as the background base, then I matted the embossed piece and added it with mounting foam in the middle of the background.  I used a small piece of the leftover background and cut the vase.  I added a black shadow behind it and filled the vase with sprigs from the Elegant Arrangements die set cut in white.  I cut the Sending Much Love in black and added it in the upper corner.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8"  x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue what a fabulous clever idea, wow I wish I had your creativity and thought process, I just know that should I ever have any ideas they would be absolutely disastrous lol, but this looks gorgeous, had you not told us what you'd done with the acetate I wouldn't have guessed because it doesn't show that gloss/shine acetate has, maybe because it's matted onto cardstock, how I'd love to see this sample in the flesh it's just beautiful. All festive dies boxed up (apart from those that can be used all year) I really hope I can get back to market at some point this year, just one of many hurdles that I have to jump lol I wish 🤣
Whatever everyone is planning today 2022 starts in earnest, so stay safe and well, love to all Particrafters xxx

Hi Sue. What a good idea to use 2 sheets of acetate to create an interesting background. If it was my project, I think I would have used a slightly different colour to create the vase as I don't think there is enough definition to show the vase up. Sorry.

Good Morning Sue. Woaahhh. I feel like I just stepped into spring. Those colours are fabulous. If you need cheering up this is the card to do it. And it's very evenly set. Not too much on it or it would be crowded. I need to try this technique I don't have the Crystal tints ... So does anyone know if the pixies will work just as well ? We can only try. Thankyou Sue.
Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏.
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds

Hi Sue, I love the results of your playtime! I think there will be quite a few of us trying this technique. The layering of the embossed sheet (lovely folder) onto the smooth sheet means no struggles to find a matching background :-). A really lovely card.
