Happy Valentine's Day

Hello bloggers!  Starting with a piece of white card, I sprinkled Groovy Grape and Beyond Blue Pixie Sparkles all over the card.  I spritzed it with water, then covered it with a piece of cling film and scrunched it a bit to leave lines in the background.  I set it aside to dry overnight, then removed the cling film the next day to reveal this pretty background.  I used the Lace Heart Stampcut die and inked it with a Black Archival ink pad, then ran it through the die cutting machine to stamp and cut it.  I did this three times.  I used Distress Markers to colour the hearts (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord).  I added the hearts with mounting foam in a diagonal line across the card.  I cut the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment in both black and white card and used the white one as the shadow behind it.  I glued it in the lower corner of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  8"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh these stampcuts look so pretty on the sample today, just like a lace heart doily, amazing what you can do with the right dies, stamps and colours, love it.

How beautiful, my favourite background technique, I must buy some sparkles to add to my 'non sparkles' I keep promising myself a few shakers, just do it silly woman!!
Those hearts are so precious they look so ornate, I would imagine you have many many numerous valentine samples ready to showcase in your folders so it's OK to showcase this at the start of 2022 xx

Hi SUE
What a fantastic card looks like it's diamante on your card which I'm thinking was probably your intention being it's a valentine card beautiful.

But the crowning glory ... as Owlish already said ... are those hearts. Yes they do look like Diamante but Lace Diamantes and I love them. Thankyou Sue.

Hi Sue. Another lovely card again today and you are showing once again that you can use hearts with a colour other than red and get a great result.

Hi Sue
Happy Monday everyone x
Well it’s been ages - haven’t been on here since 22nd October! Won’t bore you with the details but been poorly and very much out of action. So hello all you lovely Wilsonettes - so glad to be back x
I love this card. I do have a bit of a soft spot for blue and anything pixie is always going to rock my boat. Your lace heart is beautiful and is
showcased perfectly on that gorgeous background. I have a feeling we’re going to see a few more Valentines cards over the coming weeks before the day itself and if they’re all as fabulous as this one I cant wait x
