Good Sunday morning all! It's another quick and easy card for today! I love the
Aurora Flakes and would use them all the time if they were just a bit easier to photograph! LOL Trust me when I say that they always look better in person! I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet. I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with
Blue Ice Aurora Flakes. I used a
Rubitscrubit pad to move the flake around and then refine and remove any excess flakes. I embossed the piece with the
Rose Bed 3D embossing folder for texture. Next I cut the
Strength Circle die out of some leftover piece of the flake card. I cut the shadow backing for it and glued it together. I mounted it in the upper right corner of the background. I cut the
Magnolia Corner in white and then used the extra flower die from the set to make three dimensional flowers and added them to the corner. I added glue to all the petals after assembling them, then coated them with
Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz for some bling. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size. All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue and all that pop in for some senerity this Sunday or Monday depending who you are. This is just beautiful those Aurora flakes are just stunning there isn't a combination or mix of colours I'm not keen on everyone you've shown to us have their own magical qualities then you wave your Fairy Craftmothers wand and a piece of inspiration appears. Its taking forever to complete the orders I've had morning till 5pm lunch on the hoof and i need intravenous coffee lol it's the cutting and cleaning of dies that take the time, and guess what - according to 'my keeper' it only takes you 15minutes thereabouts to make a card he's seen you do it (you have time to cut and prep before the camera rolls) i think he's going the right way for a crafters slap lol slap all the receipts of those dies we've 'won' so he can reimburse us I dont condone violence but if he tells me he can make a card in 5 minutes then I'm changing the locks lol. One big consolation to my stress is I've started cutting the penguins etc for the next 6 cards so many tiny pink/ blue mittens and scarves and pairs of skates, its making me smile just thinking about them. Good Mornings Sue. What a beautiful card today. And a very appropriate sentiment for so many of us... We all need this at the moment. I love the circle dies. I have the first three you brought out. Now ... I know I have money coming as a Christmas gift this year... So I am treating myself to a couple more, and this will be one of them.
I always thought blue and silver would be a better choice for matching up ... But what a surprise here ... On my tablet this looks blue and gold ... And what a lovely combination it is too. Hi Sue. I can understand why you like the Aurora flakes so much but I think they have come across nicely on the photographs. I do like to have some dies that help to make really quick cards as I am sure we all get caught out occasionally and I think that the circle sentiments use really nice phrases.
