You Are The Best

Hi bloggers!  I always love it when I can use a single die to create an entire card, don't you!  This card is all about the Roselyn die set!  I started by cutting four of the top layer of the Roselyn die with one of the centres included out of coconut white card.  I glued them to another square of white card to create the background.  Next I cut two more of the Roselyn die in white using just the top layer of the die.  I selected a piece of Pixie Powdered background card that I had in my stash pile and cut both of the centre dies from it. The pixie powder colours were Lava Red, Burnt Orange and Straw Yellow.  I added a black card base to both of them.  I crisscrossed them and added them with foam to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre of the Roselyn die.  I cut three small flowers from the Blossom Patch set out of a left over piece of the pixie powdered piece used for the middle layers and added them around the sentiment with pearl centres.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Just what we need this morning, a pretty splash of colour to brighten the grey miserable skies of Lancashire. It's amazing, your design knowledge is truely amazing to get an idea in your mind, sketch your idea on paper, get your finished die, then design the most beautiful sample with just that one die set. I can't remember who mentioned it yesterday but I think the comment read - do you get an idea in your mind of a sample or pattern then design a die that works with what you've seen in your minds eye or where do the designs for the dies come from?
Hopefully your dies are so intricate that these Chinese rip off companies won't be able to copy your designs sell for a few pounds then totally disappear before they get done for copyright. I've seen so many online and it's so worrying, so the more difficult to copy the better in my opinion.
Whatever your doing today hope it's fun and that you are happy and healthy xxx

Hello Sue
A very attractive card today using just the Roselyn die.
I love how you have used the die for the background giving it a lovely lacy look.
The use of Pixie Powdered card in the focal point gives a much softer look,

Hi Sue,
What a gorgeous card this is, I love the way you've used one die only. But it would not have been the same without the Pixie Powders, they're fabulous and remain top of my favourites as regards colouring.

Hi Sue, beautiful card, I love the Pixie Powders. Just finished watching HSN and your snipets. Can you not get more time to do full cards like you do on C&C. Maybe the Americans would change and do larger cards. Great to see you again

Hi Sue, it's incredible how you keep coming up with such wonderful ideas and intricate dies. Do you never feel 'brain dead' occasionally? Who do you turn to for inspiration I wonder?
Lovely card. Thank you. Hugs xx Pauline

Hi Sue
Oh yes I do love a card made from just the one Die. Just like yesterday’s card with the lovely Anna, Roselyn looks beautiful with the pixie powder backing. Now I’m in a quandary is it Anna or Roselyn that I really really want!!

Love and hugs to everyone
Pat

Hi Sue, another lovely card, similar to yesterday's. For me, I would probable want to put some of the colour either on the edge or on the corners as the central image is a bit smaller than yesterday's which has left a large expanse of white for my taste.

Love the card today. The white on white background and then the red pop on the focal card. A nice sentiment stamp too.
I love all Sue's cards and dies (and I am American). The A2 sized cards favored by many here are boring.
