All The Best

Hi there my crafty friends!  We are showcasing a wisteria and Iris coloured piece today.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and cut it diagonally to give me a smaller upper piece and two inch strip in the centre and a larger bottom part.  I embossed the upper piece and the centre strip using the Brambled Rose embossing folder.  I added mounting foam to the top piece to raise it and added it to another piece of white card then glued the centre piece below it.  I taped the last piece down and stamped the corner with the Elemental Swirl stamp using a clear perfect medium pad.  I dusted it with lavender mica powder for a soft sheen to the swirl.  Next I made three Triple Layered Fuchsias using Iris card as the top, Wisteria as the middle layer and white as the base.  I added leaves cut out of Khaki green as both the top and base and another shade of green from my stash as the centre.  I tucked all the stems under the top embossed piece and had them come down the card in a diagonal.  I added the Triple Layer Hummingbird to the bottom of the card and reversed the order of the layers; Wisteria on top, Iris in the middle and white as the base.  I cut the All The Best sentiment in Iris and added a white shadow then glued it in p-lace in the top section of the card.  White, Wisteria and Iris mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  All for now. Sue x

Oh my goodness what a beauty to start my Friday morning with!
Cards like this just make me smile with joy. Fuchsias are such beautiful flowers. My mum and dad used to have so many fuchsias in their garden when I was little (actually they still do). Your fuchsias are stunning and that humming bird is so charming. I LOVE this fabulous card x
Happy Friday everyone

Hi Sue. Good old mica powder, I can't remember the last time I looked at mine let alone used it lol so many new products filter through we forget those go to products that we used so often and as you've reminded us with this stunning work of art the mica powders give a stunning effect. I'm so glad that I have such a beautiful start to my day, after 10yrs or so I can't imagine starting it any other way - thank you so much.
Hope your morning's are just as inspiring xxx

Morning Sue, what a lovely surprise to see the fuschia die used on today's beautiful card.
I mentioned yesterday that my flower die had just arrived. Haven't had time to play with it yet as still finishing my decorating.I could have used your colour inspiration Sue. lol
Like the way you have stepped the EF to make the flowers peep from under the top layer.
Hugs xx Pauline

Hello Sue what a stunning card. Love the colour changes you are using lately, soft yet so noticeable. The fushia looks so pretty too. Another simple but effective way is how you've added foam to the card at the top corner to raise it. Beautiful dies coordinate so well together. Not forgetting micro powder a little magic in a pot.xx

Hi Sue - a really pretty card and the colours are made for each other. The touch of the mica powder is a reminder to use this technique more often as it is such a subtle effect. Sending very best wishes

Hi Sue, a beautiful and clever card. Cutting the embossed card on the diagonal and then layering it gives added interest to the background. Your fuchsias and the hummingbird are beautiful as always.

I like how you have designed this card by splitting the main background into part embossing, giving texture, and part in flat, for a smooth surface. Ofcourse, I like the colors: Wisteria and Iris. Interesting to see the fushias tucked between the two pieces of Brambled Rose embossed layers. I don't remember the Elemental Swirl stamp. Very pretty and delicate giving movement to the design. I especially like the lavender mica powder over the perfect medium for a soft sheen. Well done. Hugs
