Sailboat Stained Glass

Good Sunday morning all!  A simple sailboat stained glass card for the day.  I started this card by cutting the Sailboat Stained Glass out of black card.  I attached it to a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet on it.  Next I cut the die in red, blue, light blue, yellow, brown and white.  I used the fall away pieces of each of the different colours to paper piece them back into place to fill in the die.  Next I used spray glue over the top and glittered it to add a softer look.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangles, I cut a multi layered frame using Cobalt blue card for the base frame and white for the top frame.  I added them with foam to frame the card.  The card was then completed with white, blue and red mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

It really does have a softer look from the glitter. This could easily be a gents card. I like how you made the clouds white instead of blue.

The glitter somehow also gives it a mosaic effect.

Best of Sundays to everyone who sees this and some who don't.

Hiya Sue. I do love and enjoy looking at your stained glass samples. The shades you have used give me one of those 'ahhh' relaxed type feelings, surrounded by gentle waves with the sun smiling down - not too hot like recent weeks, just enough to keep the sea breeze at bay, all that's missing is the cold glass of wine that we've lovingly placed into our cool bag, but we'll sort that out when we've got back to shore lol. A beautiful relaxing type of sample for a Sunday and I hope it follows you through your day xxx

Good Morning Sue. Beautiful card this morning. And a man card too. The sail boat looks like its just setting off on a lovely peaceful trip somewhere. But unfortunately its not for me. All the stained glass dies you have done are lovely dies. But.... for some reason they don't do anything for me. But we are not all the same Sue. And what a boring world it would be if we were. Thankyou for you wonderful thoughts and ideas Sue. Sending best wishes to everyone this beautiful Sunday morning. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

Hello Sue
I am not a great fan of the stained glass window dies I won't get enough use out of them but it would look lovely in a frame.

Just back from seeing the Tall Ships in Sunderland so today's card is very apt.
Lovely weather today for anyone messing about in boats. Enjoy your day. Hugs xx Pauline

Good Sunday morning to all.
Feels good to be commenting on the right day for a change and so glad to be doing so. I love this card and it's quite a while since I bought a few of the stained glass dies but don't think I bought this one. I have been waiting for another lesson from you (That's my excuse for not having used any of them yet) I think the coming week will see me having a go so to speak.
Hope you are having a restful day Sue I'm sure that would be a change for you LOL.

Hi Sue, a beautiful CAS card and I love the Sailboat die as I do all of your Stained Glass dies. The addition of glitter gives it a very muted look which is a lovely contrast to the sharp clean lines of the frame.

I enjoy paper piecing..I like to cut a bunch and then put together watching TV. I would not have thought the spray adhesive would have held the glitter. I have used wide tape like this over colored in stamping. Interesting idea.
I love the stained glass dies. They are so versatile.
