Just Wanted To Say

Hello bloggers!  I have been having more fun with the negative die cuts here!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and used Lava Red, Straw Yellow and Burnt Orange Pixie Powders all over it.  I spritzed them with water to activate the powder and allowed them to dry naturally.  Next I used the Flora die to cut out four of them on another piece of coconut white card.  You have to start with a full sized piece of card for this technique or you will lose parts of your negative design otherwise.  Make sure the die does not overlap other cut out areas when you are laying it out to cut, just get them as close as possible to each other.  Once finished, glue the background piece to the negative cut out piece and trim down to the size you want.  Cut a diagonal line and then cut another one approx. 1 1/2" apart from it, but even with it.  Add mounting foam to the top and bottom pieces to raise them.  Reassemble them on another piece of card with the diagonal channel area recessed between them.  Cut the mini expressions in black and add them to the top and bottom areas of the card.  Complete the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8" in size.  All for now,
Sue x

Hi Sue

It's always fun to play with the dies and you have done just that and created a really interesting and colourful card. I particularly like the diagonal channel across the middle.

Enjoy your day Sue

Morning Sue. This is quite an unusual layout but shows us that all your needs is 1 die to create something different, I can imagine just how stunning this sample is in real life with those fantastic pixie powders popping out from such a pretty negative die cut. Looking forward to the queen of backgrounds showing off how to make the most of your Stained Glass die collection, little black box all set up ☺
Hope you have a great day whatever you're up to xx

Lovely card. I do like the design and structure of this card.

Last comment ever for me from Kettering (showing Poole on your live feed pane)l. Next one will be (BT permitting) Sale which sometimes shows Massachusetts for some obscure reason.... who knows how Google or whatever picks up locations for live feeds.

Hi Sue,

So bright and colourful, full of interest with that diagonal channeling but would work equally well as a flat piece as the Pixies give so much to the overall design...

Wow, didn't know you could make so many different cards by using the negative of just 1 die, but that's why I'm such a fan of yours. I love the versatility of your dies and yesterday it was my Birthday and I had lots of your new dies, can't wait to start playing with them. Hugs. WALES FOR EVER. xxx

You get so much more from Pixies than I can. When I use them, they make everything look like they have a pox.

I'm not as wild about the channel, but I wonder how the card would look if you used all negatives but one raised

Best to all,

Donita

Lovely card today but will have to print the instructions off and have a practise with the technique. I love Flora die and it's amazing how many different ways it can be used. Definitely value for money. Hugs xx Pauline

Hi Sue, sorry I'm late it's been one of those days again. I love today's card, so bright and vibrant (unlike me at the moment lol) and I know I've said it before but Flora is so pretty and you have shown us several beautiful samples with her as the star of the show. I just love the way you can use both the positive and negative to great advantage.

WALES FOR EVER - belated Happy Birthday for yesterday, I'm sure you had a good day having received lots of precious metal among your gifts :-)

Hello there Sue.
I love this card and it's beautiful colours. I still haven't tried the Pixie Powders and I now have 9 different colours so I really don't have an excuse do I?
I had just managed to get Hochanda on my PC and was looking forward to the use of Pixie Powders on the stained glass presentation when my carer turned up so I missed most of the show.
I'm missing Sam's comments and hope she is on holiday and not off sick.
I am going on holiday this coming Sunday and will not be doing all of my daily comments. One of my Daughters has a villa in Fuerteventura so that's where I will be for a couple of weeks.
I will certainly comment when I can.
Love to all.
