Miss You

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's card is a really quick make (in case you might need one!).  I started by cutting the Diamond Squares Background out of coconut white card.  I backed it with Purple Heather card.  I cut a single white frame using the Stitched Pegboard Squares and added it with foam over my background.  Next I cut the Flora die out of white and inked the edges with Gentle Lavender Chalk Cloud.  I added it to the centre of the frame with foam.  I cut the Miss You mini expression out of Heather card and seated it on a circle cut from the Double Pierced Noble Circles and added a thin frame around it using the B set of the circles.  White and Heather card mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.

The winners of the weekly Comment Game are:

Nina Spear!!!
Hollyberry!!!
Jan on the Fosse!!!

Congratulations all!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prize.  All for now, Sue x

WOW stunning card today Sue and what I love is the fact that apart from the background die I have the others to recreate this beautiful missive. What I dont have is the time at the moment as I have to work. I have to work to pay for my craft habit, its a vicious circle and one day I will retire. Then maybe I will have time to play with my accumulated stash, ha ha . Have a great day Sue, hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You know how kittens are so soft, there's almost nothing to them? And the finest cake can be so light, it melts on your tongue? This card is like that. Soft and delicate and it melts on the eyes. I like the barely visible color behind the background and the touch of color on the edge of the flowers.

Congratulations to the comment game winners! (I wonder if hollyberry noticed that she's one of the winners.)

Enjoy your Sunday.

Best to all,
Donita

Good Morning Sue

Such a delicate shade the Heather card is and makes this card perfect.

Congratulations to the winners!!!

I just have to say how lovely it was few weeks ago when I tentativley glanced at the first few comments to find that they had returned to just happy crafting comments again as Sue had intended when she started the blog for us many years ago now.

Sue's blog is a place to escape the problems and traumas that we all have in our lives and enjoy her amazing creativity and our love of crafting.

Sadly Sue lost many many followers over comments that were left in recent years and was she saddened when the number of posts plummeted from several hundred down to under a hundred and I, one of the followers from the early days, stopped reading the comments too!

I have really enjoyed the recent weeks, reading all your happy comments and thoughts on the cards and crafting. I am hoping for Sue that the followers of the past like myself will slowly discover that the blog has returned to how it was, and was intended and will start to comment again and put a smile on Sue's face as she sees those comment numbers rocket again. Let's spread the word!

Enjoy your crafting this weekend everyone I hope the sun shines on you all and inspires you to great things.
