Hello crafters! Happy Valentine's Day too! I thought this lovely Cascading Heart card would make just the perfect giveaway card for today, don't you! I started by cutting the Love Heart decorative die into the upper corner of the card. I backed it with a piece of sticky adhesive sheet and used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz in the exposed adhesive around the word Love. Next I cut the Cascading Heart die in black and used the frame work outer edge, attaching it diagonally across the card. Next I cut the heart section of the die in several different shades of purple and paper pieced the coloured hearts back into the frame work I glued to the card. Using the Spiral Flowers cut in white, I added a floral element to the lower corner of the card and accented them with Passion Flower leaves and a lilac silk ribbon bow. I added a thin black mat around the piece then finished it off with white on white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 7 3/4" in size. This die stole my heart during the launch and no matter if you go full steam ahead with a true Sue Wilson or a romantic CAS style card, either way a beautiful card is bound to be the end result. I'm hoping that one of the 'sneaky' mail deliveries my keeper has had recently holds this beautiful die, as I have no need for expensive perfume and flowers don't last long but a die gift will always hold the memory of the occasion it was given for ☺ so I'll send my love and hope your day is fun and full of Valentine treats xxx

Wow, it just occurred to me that Sue's husband can't give her Sue Wilson die sets What is he supposed to do for special occasions? What other gift could matter? I guess there's always jewelry.
So I had to look up how I missed the Love Heart. It was in the Expressions launch, the one that also had the Thank You oval, a fancy Best Wishes and a freestanding Enjoy. Maybe I can live without it, seeing as how I got a lot of use from the Love in the Jewelled Hearts set. While making Valentines this year, I found myself saying, in reference to that die, "What happened to the love I just had?" "Where did love go?" And "I hope I haven't lost love." But what I really want is the Always & Forever in the Wedded Bliss Frame. The calligraphy on that is so beautiful!
Like others have said, Cascading Hearts looks fabulous in multiple weights of the same color, especially with the Love Heart on one side and flowers on the other, both mostly white.

Hi Sue, a beautiful card and the perfect choice for today and for appointment? all those romantics among us. I'm not usually one for hearts on a card but I love the way that the shades of purple look almost as though they were padded. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. I have just started cutting out the makings for eight 3D Easter Baskets and think that I may be some time. Just as well as it is raining/sleeting/snowing outside.

What a delightful card, Sue, and so fitting for Valentine's Day. So far, my V. Day has been spent standing in the pouring rain for ten minutes waiting for a bus at a stop with no shelter so that I could take my kitten to the vet to be neutered...I know, what a cruel day to get that done lol. Happy Valentines Day to Sue...i hope that hubby has treated you according your status.....and to the rest of her adoring Wilsonettes! I received one Valentine card, a virtual one so who says that i’m Not down with the kids:-), it was from my Uncle in Toronto so does it count? Your card beats the s*** out of any competitors though Sue, i love the cascading hearts, they are particularly striking outlined in black but the paper piecing is outstanding, the colour tones are fab, a refreshing change from red. The spiral flowers are the perfect compliment to this composition. The best of luck to each and every Wilsonette who takes the time out of their day to tell this lovely lady how special she is and how wonderful her creations are. Had an early start today in preparation for a hair appointment, really struggled to get up, in fact, if my Mum hadn’t insisted on screaming in my ear i reckon that i’d Still be fast asleep:-) Soldiered on, was made suitably presentable again and did a bit of shopping....got another new dressing gown and nightie in anticipation of some upcoming hospital stays, its grey, sparkly and so so soft.....got home to the sound of the phone ringing, it was my consultants head nurse who was furious that my MRI has been moved to next Friday. She said that it wasn’t acceptable and that they will rush it through as well as book me in for a PET scan in Glasgow. No sooner had i hung up the phone, the MRI dept called with a last minute cancellation for tomorrow at 10.45am....YES! Another 6am wake up call waiting for an ambulance!!! So girls, i guess sleep isnt high on my agenda again but at least i will learn the results quicker than expected:-) Alison, so sorry that our infamous Scottish weather is living “up” to expectations:-) I swear, it was raining, snowing and hailing all at once as I foolishly made my way to pay for a pointless blow dry! I can but hope that you manage to enjoy yourself in the face of this adversity, the scenery is quite nice when you can see it through the clouds and rain:-) Where are you? Yvonne is safely back from her travels but is suffering fatigue as a result. I’m sure she will be back and causing trouble soon....she better get a move on and finish my card, so much for her promise that i would receive it by last Saturday!:-) Huge hugs to all my blog besties, missing and present, as well as cuddles who all who need onexxxx

Donita, you are correct in thinking that the best gifts are crafty ones. He has been listening to me yacking about laminators all week so one way to get my attention. Hi Sue, a beautiful card and the perfect choice for today and for appointment? all those romantics among us. I'm not usually one for hearts on a card but I love the way that the shades of purple look almost as though they were padded. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. I have just started cutting out the makings for eight 3D Easter Baskets and think that I may be some time. Just as well as it is raining/sleeting/snowing outside.
Laine - what a rotten day you had, hope you managed to sleep well last night. They call 10 days an emergency appointment?

What a delightful card, Sue, and so fitting for Valentine's Day. So far, my V. Day has been spent standing in the pouring rain for ten minutes waiting for a bus at a stop with no shelter so that I could take my kitten to the vet to be neutered...I know, what a cruel day to get that done lol. Now I'm waiting to go get him so it will be more soaking clothes by the time we get home again...it was a brilliant day yesterday, what a shame we couldn't go then lol

Happy Valentines Day to Sue...i hope that hubby has treated you according your status.....and to the rest of her adoring Wilsonettes! I received one Valentine card, a virtual one so who says that i’m Not down with the kids:-), it was from my Uncle in Toronto so does it count?
Your card beats the s*** out of any competitors though Sue, i love the cascading hearts, they are particularly striking outlined in black but the paper piecing is outstanding, the colour tones are fab, a refreshing change from red. The spiral flowers are the perfect compliment to this composition. The best of luck to each and every Wilsonette who takes the time out of their day to tell this lovely lady how special she is and how wonderful her creations are.
Had an early start today in preparation for a hair appointment, really struggled to get up, in fact, if my Mum hadn’t insisted on screaming in my ear i reckon that i’d Still be fast asleep:-) Soldiered on, was made suitably presentable again and did a bit of shopping....got another new dressing gown and nightie in anticipation of some upcoming hospital stays, its grey, sparkly and so so soft.....got home to the sound of the phone ringing, it was my consultants head nurse who was furious that my MRI has been moved to next Friday. She said that it wasn’t acceptable and that they will rush it through as well as book me in for a PET scan in Glasgow. No sooner had i hung up the phone, the MRI dept called with a last minute cancellation for tomorrow at 10.45am....YES! Another 6am wake up call waiting for an ambulance!!! So girls, i guess sleep isnt high on my agenda again but at least i will learn the results quicker than expected:-)
Alison, so sorry that our infamous Scottish weather is living “up” to expectations:-) I swear, it was raining, snowing and hailing all at once as I foolishly made my way to pay for a pointless blow dry! I can but hope that you manage to enjoy yourself in the face of this adversity, the scenery is quite nice when you can see it through the clouds and rain:-) Where are you?
Yvonne is safely back from her travels but is suffering fatigue as a result. I’m sure she will be back and causing trouble soon....she better get a move on and finish my card, so much for her promise that i would receive it by last Saturday!:-)

Hoping everyone had or is having a wonderful Valentine's Day. The hubby took me out to lunch and bought me a laminator (for foiling). Donita, you are correct in thinking that the best gifts are crafty ones. He has been listening to me yacking about laminators all week so one way to get my attention.

A lovely card Sue and one that is so beautifully different with it's lovely colours and the paper piercing.
On Tuesday after I'd posted my comment, my computer CRASHED.I know this is not the place to type a full page so I'll just say "Oh dear" I had to get a new hard drive.
