Bonsai Stained Glass

Hello crafters!  I am really loving the new stained glass collection and have found so many ways to use them.  I thought I would share another technique with you today!  I have cut three of the Bonsai Stained Glass out of black card and glued them all together to create a bit of depth.  I filled in the areas using the Creative expressions PVA glues.  I used Spring green, choco brown, black, white pearl, pastel blue and berry red to create the Bonsai.  I love that you get a bit of the pearl swirling around in each colour.  I set it aside to dry, then added one final layer of the die cut so it covered up any areas that I may have gotten the glue on top of the die cut (and I did!)  The top layer really gives it a clean finished look.  I completed the card with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Lovely card Sue, just perfect. Love that Bonsai tree.
Hope your Trade show goes well and then perhaps you will. Be able to have a break and rest, we don't want you getting ill lovely lady.
Elaine, so sorry that Andrew didn't get his treatment, but at least he will be with Heken today, thinking of you all. Still haven't got your email.
Laine, poor Mum, hope she gets the lump sorted soon, no wonder you have migraines, it is just worry I think.
France's, glad hubby is feeling stronger.
So glad Maureen is coming home today and I love red nails too. Welcome home Scarlet Lady.
Carmen, I work with people who have 30+ years in Taxes, and our Senior Leadership announced we have technology so we don't need experience, there is no hope I'm afraid. Still not 100% so need more antibiotics but a lot better than last week., thank you ladies.
P in Wales, I didn't see the Hartlepool programme, such a pity, think it may have been the Heritage Maritme Museum you say with the Tricomalee, such a beautiful wooden warship at the Marina,.
Daily hugs to all especially all of our poorly and missing friends.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a really lovely card today, I loved seeing the stained glass new dies in the launch and wondered what you used to colour them with, I wonder if it will work using the glitter kiss products ????

I reiterate everything that Pam has said. Sue please try and rest after the trade show, you have had a very hectic few weeks not only with demo's new launch and AP but being unwell - look after yourself.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

I love these dies too and this card is gorgeous. Don't think I would have thought of using coloured glues but have had loads of other ideas for them.
Pam you look after yourself and make sure you get more antibiotics. The chest infection in this neck of the woods seems very hard to get rid of. My daughter always needs loads but my son in law is also on his third course and that is unusual.
Thoughts and prayers to all in need.
Crafty hugs.

Morning Sue. With every new launch of designs we are getting use to the element of surprise (the biggest by far was the Kinetic) designs, your Gumball machine, then the fun and cheeky Fish bowl plus cute additions to that, and we've always loved the Stained glass technique you use in other dies, but a background die specifically to show that effect plus other techniques is such a clever idea, but then you twist it, now showing us even MORE reasons NOT excuses to fill out shelves with PVA glue what a change from going to little corners and centre of flowers and the background technique you use (which I'm not sure Paul has seen yet - our Pixie King on Facebook) we now need it to fill the Stained glass dies, and what an absolutely beautiful sample you have for us, I can't wait and am looking forward to more samples of these dies, plus samples of this new launch too. I'm really hoping you have the most wonderful holiday all planned ready for some time quite soon because you don't seem to have stopped since - well I can't remember (and I don't mean a trip to FL to work on new festive samples as I bet that is all done and dusted or nearly complete ! Maybe two weeks in one of the countries you have named your dies after, then relax in a real hammock lol.
In the meantime, I'll say something that will go way over your head lol don't overdo it and make yourself poorly again !
Sending my usual love n hugs by the bucket full to you lovely lady ☺ xxx

Good morning Sue. I love what you've done with this die and the PVA glues, it's gorgeous. I'm still trying to put my wish list in order but I know that the stained glass sets are very near the top. I think we should have a "die bonus payday" mid month!
Elaine, sending you, Helen and Andrew all my good wishes to get through today, you are in my thoughts. Laine, I'm sorry about your mum, I hope her test results are what you hope for. Pam, sorry to hear that you're still not feeling great and that work is being, well stupid is the only word! My mam finally got the scan results but it didn't show what they expected so the doctors still have no idea why she's been so ill. However, her bloods are getting better and she's not in as much pain and might even be able to come home today. Thank you everyone for your support. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

John's Shows on the Glitter Kiss were amazing and I learned so much! Hope to test some of the ideas out tomorrow!
Elaine - sorry about Andrew's treatment not going ahead but maybe that was for the best as he would have felt better able to support Helen.
Trust all went well today! I've been thinking of you.

Hi Sue. WOW, WOW, WOW !!! This card is gorgeous !!! I love it !!! The Bonsai Tree die looks fab. Some of my top favourite dies from your latest launch have been the Stained Glass Collection, the Indonesian collection, and the hobnail vase. ( Of course there are many others on the list to. There are to many to name. ) Having favourite dies when it comes to your fantastic designs is just impossible Sue !!! I absolutely love the pearl glue technique on your card today. Why did I never think of that !!! You are just too clever Sue. The colours go perfectly together and I love the pearly, swirly effects they have created when dry. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous card today. x x x
Thank you also for yesterday's fab card to. I really love it. I think your new Tropical Dies look great fun to play with and make such beautiful summery cards. A great stepper card and the addition of the sand makes it look even more authentic !!!
Sending lots of love to you today Sue from Tres x x x

Hi Sue,

Beautiful card! Different technique. I like the idea of filling in with the PVA glue even I haven't tried it. I really like the effect that you get by using them. It really looks like stained glass. I am looking forward to more samples of these dies and maybe a video.

Marg – Happy B-day! Hope you enjoyed your day! You are this blog’s Queen today. For sure the flag flown for you, without any doubt :) .
Elaine - My thoughts are with you, Andrew and especially Helen today.
Pam – We don’t need people with years of experience because now we have advanced technology – I heard this slogan here as well. Unfortunately, the older we get the less employable we are. We are facing here another issue: some managers hire people of the same nationality only.. But, your health is more important at this point. Take care.
Myra – Glad Maureen is home now. Maybe she will be well enough for your meet up.
Laine – A big hug for your Mum. Ok, fine, one for you, too. Get better and come back.
PP/Yvonne – Hope you are OK.

Hugs,

Hello Sue,
Wow, the effect you have achieved with all those layers looks like clouisonne enamelling. It's fabulous. I love your bonsai tree and it makes a very dramatic card. You never fail to come up with something amazing. Thank you.

Marg happy birthday, lucky you sharing it with our beloved Queen!
Pam hope the second lot of antibiotics do the trick, you have been through the mill lately.
Elaine you were in my thoughts today.
CraftySue, hope your mum was allowed home today.
Sharon hope you get your results soon and all is well. Sorry to hear you are still struggling.
Laine sending you a great big hug and one for your mum too.
It's a happy day for the gang of nine, our Maureen is home and on the road to recovery.
Love and hugs for all

Hello Sue
You are such a clever lady! This card is outstanding, and so relatively simple! Beautiful to have as a picture sitting on one
of those beautiful easels you use to display your cards at times. I am really looking forward to using my recently purchased
Bonsai Stained Glass die and the PVA Pearl glues. Bless you for being such an inspiration to us card crafters.
Love and hugs

Amazing card. Super effect you have created with the card layers and the PVA glues. I've got a couple of pale coloured glues but didn't realise they were available in such a range of colours.

Marg, hope you had a lovely birthday.

Take care everyone.
