Finishing Touches

Welcome back bloggers!  I am showcasing three new additions to the Finishing Touches range in this blog post.  Shown here, is the new Diagonal Foldover Flower.  These have been specifically designed to use with felt to make beautiful floral additions to your projects, but you can use lightweight card and paper as well.  One of my new videos will also show you how to make a clever border with this die too so it is extra useful!  The Classic Vase and the Catkin Stems are ever so useful as well and look great with some of the Finishing Touches from today's final post.  Leave a comment as we draw three names from this post to cover each of the dies on offer!  The last post for today and the blog launch will be up at 4pm, don't be late! LOL  All for now, Sue x

This card is stunning. Love the flower though I've never had much success with felt. (I must try harder!) All these dies would be useful if I had them but the National Lottery let me down again. The top of my wishlist is getting so crowded.
So disappointed I won't be able to watch the shows on Hochanda - I won't be at home and I haven't got a way of recording with the TV where I can get Freeview. Perhaps there will be repeats next week, though if there are the usual sellouts I may be out of luck. Hope all goes well with your shows, Sue.

Hi Sue

The foldover flowers are unlike anything I have seen, they go so well with the background on the card. I think if used with the right felt you could decorate bags, hats annd lots of things with them. The catkin stems again are a one off. I really like these as they wont make the flower and pin arrangements too flowery... ok, aware that may not make sense but I know what I mean!

More winners Sue, well done.

hi Sue,
Would love to see the flowers up close, so unusual!! They make beautiful flowers!! Love the vase that you showcased in another of your cards. The catkins will look so lovely with a fall flower scene! You have really made it hard to decide what to pick first out of all your new delightful dies!!

This card is a vison of "peaches and cream" to me, like the "Dream Sickle" ice cream on a stick I enjoyed in Jr High school. lol, it is lunch time for me! I did, I did, see your flower in a swirl in your previous posted card. I like it. I also like and will appreciate your catkin die to add a linear aspect to my cards. This shape has been hard for me to find an appropreiate thin lengthy element to add to my 3D floral cards.

I've been looking and looking at your original classic foldover flower, and here you have a diagonal version too, oh my!!! LOVE these, and have been looking to buy some good-quality felt to play with them when I buy one of these dies...

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win.

I'm unfamiliar with this TV show, will try and find it and hopefully I will be in time to at least watch your last show at 4 pm with the time change. I am so sorry I didn't see this sooner to send you an e-mail of support, but will send one now. I KNOW you have already blown the audience away, and everyone will be RACING to buy your dies, because no one creates better ones!!! :) You have my support for sure!!!!

As always, I LOVE these dies, you amaze me with what you create and I've already been amazed by you so many times--thanks!!! :)

Blessings to you, hoping to watch you on this TV program, Sue!!!

Hugs,

Joanne

The delicate Catkin Stems are so lovely. They can add some really special detail to a simple, more minimalist card, without over doing things.

Cannot wait until the diagonal foldover die is available in USA and Canada, Sue!!! In the meantime, can you let me know what width of felt I would need to make a fold-over flower by cutting it? It won't be as lovely as yours, but it would give me a start... I have just ordered some felt with wool content, hopefully it will arrive in about 2 weeks if all goes well. Thanks again for your advice regarding what to look for in felt...

Thanks for your help. Oh my am I going to have a HUGE wish-list of your dies, but that is not a bad thing! :) Your dies just take what I've used in the past to a whole new level of elegance and intricacy!

Best wishes,

Joanne from Ontario, Canada

Hello Sue,

I bought the diagonal flower die, was planning to buy the original, then saw this one and was able to buy it on Ebay from someone in Scotland. :) I've ordered and received some felt with wool content as you suggested and I cannot wait to play with it. I will look up and see if you've posted what to do with this die as a border, how ingenious!!! I now have 3 of your dies, and I know I will have lots, lots more--the diamond striplets die, the fir trees set, and this diagonal flowers die. I absolutely LOVE those leaves, need to find a way of getting those, love the texture they would create in the midst of other leaves.

As always your ideas are so WONDERFUL, I admire all that you have accomplished!!!

Best wishes to you,

Joanne
