Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  I have been wanting to show off this card using one of John Lockwood's new stamps!  Isn't it gorgeous!  I started with the background and used the Lattice and Lace Striplet without the outer cutting edge.  I cut it three times side by side and then added some mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension.  I added it over another piece of coconut white card for a white tone on tone look.  I added large 8mm white flatback pearls to the corner flowers in the striplet.  Next I stamped John's Floribunda stamp using a black archival ink pad and cut it out with the matching Lisbon die.  I used Distress markers to colour it in, mainly Mustard Seed Forest Moss, Worn Lipstick and Picket Fence.  I stamped it again, but this time, I hand cut the large flowers and coloured them.  I added them with foam above the original flowers on the stamp.  I stamped my sentiment and used the Montreal and Toronto dies centre ovals to cut it out and mat it.  I added it to the side with foam.  I finished the card with a white pierced mat and another larger white layer.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  If you would like to be included in the drawing to win this card, just leave me a comment.  The winner will be drawn and announced on Saturday's blog post.  All for now, Sue x

My prize from the draw was delivered this morning, lovely sentiment stamps, thank you very much they will be put to good use.

I've felt really cold today so the jumpers are coming out again.

Sunshine just now but boy have we had rain. But it means I don't hae to water the garden for a couple of days, and the containers and baskets are taken care of too, so there good in everything.

Must dash to make tea, tummy grumbling!!!!

Love and hugs everyone

Hi Sue and lovely Wilsonettes
just commented and it disappeared into the ether so trying again.
First I want to say a massive woohoo to you Sue on reaching 5400 followers, wowee, well done!! Why wouldn't anyone want to follow your amazing blog?
This is such a lovely card, the striplet looks amazing cut 3 times and used as a backgroung, it's so lacey and feminine. The stamped centrepiece is wonderful, so pretty. Don't know if I have the confidence for that though, I seem to struggle getting a crisp image, don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Carole B, are you on pinterest? Maybe I could find you, that's what I did with Lynda. It should come up if you put in Deb Curtis, I think there are 3 of us with the same name but the same photo that I use on here is next to my name. Hope that helps.
Specual hugs to Particia and Maureen, a big hello to all my new blog friends, especially Lynda B, Carole B, Saba, Frances, P in Wales, Tres, Melody and Yvonne G.
Love and blessings all - Deb C xx

Truly stunning. The striplet background is gorgeous.Johns stamp is lovely as well. I'm sure there will be a lot of people hoping this card comes their way.
Lorraine you made me smile with Darcey's antics last night! Mary glad you are feeling better.lynne the little divas are living up to their names I see! If it's any consolation, our divan bed is presently down to the bare wood frame in parts wher the cat has used it as a scratching post. When we eventually get a new one I will be so ashamed to put this out for the council to collect!! Love and hugs to all, Alisonxxx

Hi Sue, love the background created with this striplet die, and John's stamp is beautiful. Just back from the hospital from seeing my newly born great nephew Bodhi ( named after the Bodhi tree of enlightenment). My niece had a pretty rough time and although a little battered Bodhi is totally gorgeous.
