Hello my crafty friends! I hope everyone enjoyed the blog launch last week! I still have so many cards to show you from previous releases as well so I hope you don't mind if I post some of those first. Today's card is one of my favourites. You may have seen it briefly during the last blog die launch or at Ally Pally or even on the POTD shows recently, but I think it still deserves it's day on the blog! I started by cutting an aperture with my
Decorative Frames from the Italian Collection out of white card.. I backed it with black card to create a dramatic backdrop. Next I used an assortment of various flower dies to create some pretty flowers to go around the top of the aperture.
The Camellia complete petal, the Delicate Daisy open petal, the cornflower and even the tiny flowers from the Blossoming Branch were all used. I even added in some foliage from the
Delicate Fronds die set. Next I cut a frame using the
Classic Adorned Square Noble die set. I cut a thin edge of black card using both of the Noble square sets and glued it on to the frame. I mounted it with foam over the aperture. I cut the expressions die
"Enjoy" in white and glued it to the centre of the aperture. The card was then finished with a white pierced mat, a thin black mat and another wider white mat. The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size.
I thought I would include a pic of my Mom's 92nd birthday, which was last Monday (scroll all the way past the cards). She is looking very well and yes, we did eat all that cake! LOL All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue...what a lovely picture of you and your mum. A photo & great memories to treasure for a long time to come...I must admit I wholeheartedly agree with other wilsonettes who say that your mum does not look 92...you never know...if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...you could look as young in your golden years...lol...as for your card posted today it is absolutely beautiful Sue and the flowers...what a dream they are...shall be looking out for those, hope I can find them. My mum is 86 but sadly loosing her mind not knowing who we are is so hard there is 8 of us and she doesnt know who half of us but we still do have a laugh with her,its her birthday on the 31st of may and this card would be great for a birthday card for her the colours she would love , what a very pretty card sue thanks for sharing it...

I was absolutely gobsmacked when I first saw this card - it is so simple looking but the investment of time in doing all of the flower and foliage cuts and forming the flowers etc took some amount of time I expect! Such a precious photo of you and your Mother. The love between you just radiants from you both. This is a wonderfully colorful and bold design on this card. The flowers are so fresh looking and your spacing of all the layers are perfect - something I am still trying to do. The dramatic placement on the black card for the "Enjoy" sentiment die cut shows off just how beautiful these sentiment die cuts can be on one's card. I hope I will be able to find a US source to buy your latest release of dies. I enjoyed the showing of your your cards using your newest dies. Thank you for sharing with us all.

First of all, what a lovely photo of you and your mum, two beautiful ladies together :). Well, this has been some busy week with all the new collections for us to see and I love this last card. I've got a 'thing' about using flowers on my cards lately but have always had to buy the flowers before. I know that the initial outlay will set me back a bit and take a while but I know that once I've managed to collect all your new flower dies I'll be saving money in the future and will be able to make custom colours to match my card-making move. I saw this card on TV, and I saw it when I went to Ally Pally. It is so striking. I have to say that this is one of my favourite, favourite cards. It is really beautiful. I love all the flowers and the colours. It definitely deserved its own day to be shown on the blog.

Hi Sue. I just love the card and the colours that you have used.
It was also my mothers birthday the other day. ANZAC day actually. She turned 93. Except for a bit of memory loss. Or at times lots. She is happy and healthy. She just lives in another country to me so I sent her lots of cards.

This card is so unique, truly stunning, although a little different from what we usually see from you. It's really lovely, but all your cards are brilliant.
I was excited my set of the Italian collection arrived in the mail from Create and Craft USA, but saddened to discover half the die sets were missing. I've not had any problems before, so I guess I will get to see how their customer service will be.

Like the design of today's card with all the different coloured flowers. The only thing I would want to change would be the black but that's just me and I know most of the Wilsonettes love black on cards.

Loved loved loved this card when I saw it at Ally Pally. Have already tried to recreate it from a photo I took of it from the telly and was pleased with the result.
