Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello crafters!  Today's giveaway card is fairly straightforward and simple, but pretty nonetheless.  At least I hope you will think so.  I started by covering a couple of strips of white card with self adhesive sticky sheets.  I cut the Lavish Swirls Diagonal dies out of another piece of coconut white card using the cutting edges.  I peeled back the backing paper on the strips of card and added them on top, lining up the edges.  Next I coated the remaining exposed adhesive with Diamond Sprinkles for a bit of bling.  I glued them diagonally on to another piece of white card while keeping them parallel to each other.  On a small piece of white card, I cut two of the Charming Hearts corners, using the same direction die (rather than one of each of the pair).  I sprayed them with Permanent spray adhesive then coated them with Diamond Sprinkles and glued them in to opposite corners.  For the focal element, I used the St. Lucias die and cut a red background using the largest die in the set.  Next I cut the decorative die in white.  I used the smaller die in the set to cut the next shape and I backed it with red card as well.  I stamped my sentiment, covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet and Diamond Sprinkles  and cut it out with the oval from the Caribbean background.  I cut two more charming hearts corners, nipped away the ends so they were both symmetrical and used them as holders on the ends of the sentiment.  Each piece was mounted up with foam backing for dimension.  The card was completed with my usual piercing and matting and layering, red and white this time to match.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  8 3/4" in size.  Leave me a comment if you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this one.  The winner will be posted on Saturday's blog post as usual.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Another beautiful Wednesday giveaway W. O. W - Wonder Of Wilson : ) if you love this card enough to leave your comment in hopes you will be picked out, then hide away until next Wednesday, why not read VAL W's comment from yesterday, Val is a new Wilsonette who has loved leaving her comment every day last week, and will continue to do so, she enjoyed being a part of a big happy crafting family, so why dont YOU follow in her crafty footsteps and join us here everyday, it takes but a few seconds to leave a thank you comment for Sue, for her inspiration when our mojo is low, for her kindness during giveaway days, this is MORE than a craft blog, its a way of life.
So good luck to everyone that join's us today, and thank you to all regular Sueaholics thst comment everyday, its the only way to get Sue and her blog at the top. You have no idea how happy Sue was when she saw No 1 on her blog, let's get her jumping with joy again and doing her happy dance lol.
This beautiful focal point looks like its sitting on antique lace, I love it Sue. I have to say that your most recent babies must be the best so far and thank you for sharing them with us.
Hope you are finding time to make memories inbetween getting your 'festive' samples ready !!!
Love and hugs to those that dont feel so well today.
Happy Wednesday.

Shh we have a little sunshine at the moment. Don't breathe too hard or it might just go away.

Sue I think today's gift is one of those lovely gifts of less is more.
I don't think I've ever seen one of your wonderful pieces of art with just a plain background. No efolder or pattern of any sort.
I must really look at your diagonal dies more closely with a view to purchase. I think this beautiful gift can go into my file to remind me of when I need a gift for one of those pesky males we have to cater for on occasions. Thank you for another addition to my files.

Where oh where have all those high numbers of visitors gone? Come on it's nearly Summer not a time to stay asleep. You've done it once so surely you can do it again and I don't mean when Sue has another launch.

To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better.
To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

For all in pain or discomfort I hope your day will improve.
One thing I have found since my computer inherited a bug from a 'friend's' email is that someone has taken my name in another group which has left me unable to leave comments on some of the blogs I follow, so irksome and annoying. Bother these nasty people, I don't know what kind of perverse pleasure they get from doing things like that. They must be really friendless themselves if they have to hijack somebody else's name. And neither Google or Blogger seem to want to respond to put my groups right.

Hi Sue,
Gorgeous card - elegantly simple and extremely stylish. Love the splash of red - the red and white combination is one of my favourites (& certainly Dave's being a Sunderland supporter!) I used my Happy Birthday die for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. I was surprised at how big it was and it finished off my card beautifully. I also had a play with the rolled flowed - so simple to do & gorgeous too.
Thank you for the heartfelt comments, it does mean a lot to me & my family. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow but at least she will at long last be at peace. Also yesterday I had been reading the poem that Cameeli posted I think last year sometime "Look for me in rainbows" and then suddenly there was a most vivid rainbow right outside the window following a torrential hailstorm - how poignant was that?!
Love and hugs to each and everyone of you, Alison xxx

Hi Sue

Wow, what a striking card. I need all the help I can get lol, one of my best friends birthday a week today & one of my brothers has his birthday 9 days after that. I love the tone on tone look with that pop of colour in the middle.

Another odd weather day. Hoping this year is not a wash out. About 4pm it was so dark out I needed the light on! Tomorrow should be better though.

Speaking of tomorrow, Alison I will thinking of you and your family saying goodbye to Auntie x

That's all from me today. My sleep patterns are haywire at the minute. I feel shattered now, just after 8pm but come 9:30 pm I'll be wide awake! Must now try to not have a kip or I won't sleep tonight!

Big hugs to every single one of you, have a peaceful evening and I'll see you all soon

Hi Sue. A beautiful card today using the beautiful Caribbean Collection Dies, the lovely Diagonal Dies and the cute little Heart Corner Dies !! I really love how you have "dressed up" the sentiment with the Heart Corner Dies. Such a lovely idea and it looks very pretty and delicate. I think it gives the card a lovely finishing touch and I also love the little touch of glitter to. Thank you for sharing this lovely card today. Lots of love to you Sue from Tres x x x

Hi Sue,

A beautiful card, loving the diagonal dies.
I have been at the hospital for the last 30hours, our great-granddaughter (Lacey) came into the world. It was a hard labour for our grand- daughter but glad to say they are both doing well.

Angela- congratulations on the birth of your grandson.

Hi Sue

Beautiful card as usual. I am racking my brain to come up with a card for our 40th Wedding anniversary which is this Sunday.
I might just do a twist on this card if that is OK.

WOWZA to the layering and diamond sparkle. Love how you've used the strips here and the brilliant use of the corners for embellishing too! Fab finishing touches and love the contrasting colors! :)
