Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello there my crafty friends!  If you would like to be entered into the drawing to win this demo card from my Feb. shows, just leave me a comment on the post.  The winner for this card and the previous two weeks will be announced on Saturday's blog post.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Crosstitch Pinpoint Embossing folder for some textural goodness.  Next I cut the Scandinavian Background in white and left a wide border on it.  I cut it in half through the centre and trimmed it down to make a smaller squarish piece.  I taped it back together and added mounting foam to the back and adhered it to my embossed background.  I cut a Scandinavian border in white and glued it across the join line.  Next I cut the Oslo die in white and used Shaded Lilac distress ink while it was still in the die.  I did two of these exactly the same way and off set them.  I added them to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the Copenhagen die set.  I inked it with Shaded Lilac also and mounted it in the centre of the card.  I added three small flatback white pearls below the sentiment.  I tied a double bow from the white satin ribbon and added a flower made from the Camellia Complete petal die set.  I edged the tips of the flower with Shaded Lilac and then "sugared" it with Iced Snow.  I added it to my bow and placed several pieces of Mosaic leaves around it.  I finished the card with my usual pierced white mat, then I inked the edge of another piece of card with Shaded Lilac to create a thin matching mat and a final white mat finished it off.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue,
I am very new to these "die cut" world , because I do stitching cards . Your cards are so amazing (I think I watched every single video on youtube) and this one is no exception. Now I am trying to figure out the way I can combine your amazing dies with stitching lol

Hi Sue,
Absolutely stunning card today. Love it! It's very ,very pretty and feminine.
Pam, fantastic news about Robbie - he is a remarkable young man. Lynda, hope you've shaked off your tummy bug.
Just got back from hospital visiting and thankfully my aunt is breathing on her own without oxygen and is much more comfortable. She still has the lung drain in but hopefully that might come out tomorrow all things being well.

Hi Sue

A very pretty card, the EF is added to the list- actually it's all on the list except the list is split into 'would like' and 'must have'! The lilac is such a lovely colour.

Alison, great news about your aunt :-)

Pam, Robbie has done so well, I have been following his story as closely as I can. He is proof that where there is determination there is hope x

Welcome to Lorraine Eastwood and any other new posters. We are all friendly and I love it when new people find Particraft as Sue is such an innovative designer and a talented crafter. Sue has loads of videos on you tube and so many beautiful cards on the blog showing how the dues can be used. You can't help but wonder at how she does it sometimes!

Been another sleepy day, so not a lot done at all.

Must go, Mr W and Billy just back from their evening walk. Hugs to everyone, lots extra here if they are needed ;-)

Breathtaking card today, love how you have altered the background die and offset the centre dies, the use of shaded lilac made the whole thing pop. Since I have been following your blog I have soaked up so much information from your tutorials and daily cards. It's almost a year since I very first started to TRY! to make cards and am truly hooked, just need more time :-) in my craft room. Thank-you so much. Pam, such good news, you must be so proud of him and Steph glad to see you back, love your posts. All the garden was frozen white this morning, but turned into a beautiful day.
