Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hello crafters!  I just love this sweet little number and thought it would make a nice giveaway card this week.  If you would like to be entered in the drawing for a chance to win this one, just leave me a comment on the post (directions are on the right hand side of the blog).  I started with the Moroccan mask and embossed the pattern into a piece of milk coloured card.  I cut four of the Scandinavian corners and glued them into place for a tone on tone look.  Next I used the Oslo die without the outer cutting edge in a smaller piece of milk card.  I backed it with periwinkle card so it showed through the pattern.  Next I cut two of the Dainty Oval frame and cut one in half lengthwise and the other in half width wise.  I attached the pieces so they were peeking out around from the back of the die cut piece.  I added mounting foam and attached it in the centre of my card.  I cut a small mat out of milk card from the Stockholm die set and attached it in the middle of my focal element.  I cut a Scandinavian tag in milk card and cut it in half.  I took a bit out of the centre and reattached it with tape on the back to make it smaller in size.  I added it as my next layer in my focal element.  Finally I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the small oval from the Dainty Oval frame set.  I attached it across the centre of my tags, hiding the previous cut line nicely.  I finished the focal element with a few small Camellia flowers cut out of periwinkle card and small black pearls in the centres.  I scattered them around my sentiment and glued them in place.  The card was then completed with a milk mat that was paper pierced with my piercing ruler, a thin periwinkle mat and a final milk coloured mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue

Don't those little flowers set this off a treat? Very feminine and pretty. I love my masks as I can do so much with them.

Sorry it's short, aware I missed everyone yesterday and didn't want to miss you all again. Back has been very sore and meds make me so sleepy. I I'll catch up with everyone in the next day or two. Want to feel better so I can play with my new dies!

Hugs to everyone, extra hugs if you need them

Hi Sue,
Sorry I'm late in commenting, it's just been one of those days! Today's card is simply beautiful and I adore the little flowers. The comment should be from us to you for all your hard work.
Wheely and Tandy, hope you are both feeling better today.
Well, had fantastic time at theatre last night! Flavia and Vincent were awesome. The whole show was brilliant and I can thoroughly recommend it to everyone. I thought their dancing on Strictly was good but to see them in real life was so impressive. We were in the second row and could almost touch them! The skill and elegance of both of them (& rest of cast) was unbelievable. They finished with surprise surprise an Argentinian Tango that was better than anything I've seen before. The kicks and flicks were so precise and quick it was astonishing. Can you tell that I enjoyed the show LOL! Love to all, Alison xx
