Thanks Ever So Much

Hello bloggers!  I thought I would show a sample from the shows on the weekend.  This card shows off the lovely Scandinavian Collection so nicely.  I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed the background with the new Pinpoint folder called Beaded Fanfare.  I just love the swags of pinpoints on this one!  I cut the bottom edge with scissors following the design to give it a scalloped look.  I covered a piece of periwinkle card with a sticky adhesive sheet and peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Diamond Snow.  I glued this to the bottom of my embossed background so it was peeking out underneath.  Using some of the Bluebird Satin ribbon, I wrapped a piece around and taped the ends to the back, then formed a looped bow in the centre.  For the focal element, I cut the Copenhagen die in white and nipped it in half.  Then I cut the Stockholm die in white and backed it with a solid piece cut from periwinkle card.  I taped the cut die to the edge so it showed out the sides for a little bit of detail.  I stamped my sentiment, then cut a pretty circle to frame it from my Italian Collection Decorative frames set.  I cut a tag from the Scandinavian collection and nipped it in half to make it smaller then mounted it behind the sentiment frame.  The card was completed by paper piercing the edge, adding a thin periwinkle card mat and a wider white mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue, a stunning card that I loved on the shows and can now see in greater detail. I have filed it for future reference as I have the Scandinavian collection coming soon - I hope! The sentiment is returned to you a hundredfold for all your hard work last week and over the week-end.
I was really chuffed to have my e-mail read out and card shown, not once but three times! I'm sure it was only because I had used the striplet die that they had on the show. Even my husband was impressed lol. Congratulations to the other Wilsonettes that were read out and/or won a card. I loved all of your cards that were shown.

Cheryl - fantastic news, so pleased for you. Those two words mean so much and I hope you really can now enjoy life again.
Tina - I hope your OH is comfortable after his tumble

After a frosty start the sun is shining beautifully, Sue's shows on the TV and homemade tomato soup on the hob so that's me set up for the afternoon. Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Hi Sue

What a grand looking card! It was hard to see the real beauty of the embossing folders with the pictures on the C&C website but oh my, how pretty this is! I hope to see the other pinpoint folders soon though I have a feeling I may give in before then! The Scandinavian dies are so ornate and look amazing. The ribbon is very pretty but I have so much ribbon I have banned myself buying any more until I've used some, I have 5 or 6 plastic lunchboxes full! I keep rescuing ribbon or buying reels in sales... so I must use what I have first BUT it means I have more money for dies, embossing folder and stamps! Looking forward to tthe next shows as there's something on my shoppig list that I'm hoping will make an appearance- especially now I'm clear of flexi pay from the french dies I brought! Bring it on!

I really enjoyed seeing all your new dies last week all beautifully presented. The ooo's and aahh's, if anyone other than the dog heard them, would make someone wonder what I was looking at! My list of wants is now pretty big- to the extent that I need to go and reorganise my storage so I have room to fit them in as they arrive!

I have lots to do but would rather go to sleep (flipping meds making me sleepy), so I will say my goodbyes. Happy hugs to every one of you, special hugs if you are ill, injured, recovering or in any sort of pain. Have a lovely day ;-)

Gorgeous card , the embossing folder makes it look like swags of pearl beads beautiful. Congrats on all your sell outs over the weekend. Lol lynne m

Whats the saying " it never rains but pours" - well that has definitely been the last few months. Relapsed back into depression , started to see the light at the end of the tunnel when lost a good neighbour to a heart attack and a very very good friend of many years to breast cancer. To top it all off hubby slipped on ice the end of last week and now has broken ribs. Caring for him has left my frozen shoulder screaming in pain and my neuralgia
flaring up again. All I can say is if this is payback for being wicked in a previous life I hope that I was really really really wicked!!!!! That at least would make all of this more bearable. Devious divas are now into playing divide and conquer. One of them will distract me and the other will get up to mischief whether its bringing in stones etc from the garden , bits and bobs they can reach in my craft room or skating along the kitchen floor using the back door mat. They had a brilliant time xmas day shredding every single bit of wrapping paper until the whole of the lounge floor was covered then they looked around as if to say "whats next" . One of their favourite positions to lay now is on their back in the corner of the settees as if they are watching tv. No programme can be watched with any animal real or cartoon in as Tilly jumps up at the telly and head butts it!!!!!.

Sue many thanks for your email b4 xmas. Hubby is asleep at moment so going to try to watch your shows from the weekend.

Massive massive massive love and hugs to all my crafty friends here , will try to look in again this week . Lynne m & crafty cushion crushers/devious divas/pesky critters x x x x x x

Hi, Sue, a lovely, elegant blue and white card to start our week.
I watched your shows over the weekend and taped the ones I could on Freeview. The sample cards were stunning, as always. I did email in a few times and attached a couple of photos of cards I'd made to the first one I sent, but alas, they didn't make it to air :- (
I don't know what the secret is, as I'm always unsuccessful.
Anyway, it's been a lovely sunny day here today and I'm looking forward to the next shows in a couple of weeks :- )

Take care, Sue and fellow Wilsonettes and hugs and Best Wishes to those who are unwell / in pain.
