Many Thanks

Hello my crafty friends!  How about a quick sneak peek for my shows starting Saturday morning?  We will be featuring my New York Collection and the Gemini dies.  They have also brought back the Finishing Touches and the Dainty Frames in case you missed them two weeks ago.  Today's card was started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with a new embossing folder called Braided Vines to give the background some texture.  Next I cut the Lyra Gemini die in silver card using all three pieces.  I cut a backing in white using just the two cutting edges.  I mounted it with foam to raise it for dimension and added it to the bottom of my embossed background.  A piece of silver card was then placed so it peeked out from underneath.  The focal element was created using the Herald Square die from the New York Collection.  I cut the largest die in the set out of silver card for a square.  I used the next largest die for a decorative white die cut, then glued the two together and cut them into a frame by using the smaller square die in the set.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it for dimension.  I made a two tone Camellia flower using both the Complete and Open Petal styles of the Camellia die sets.  I stamped my sentiment (Bold Sentiments by Creative Expressions) and cut it into a strip and added my flower to the end surrounded by Mosaic Leaves cut in white.  I tucked in a bit of metallic silver cording from my stash to top off the floral element.  The card was then finished with a white pierced mat, a thin silver card mat and a final white mat in my usual style.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 3/4"
 in size.

John Lockwood has shows on C & C today at 10am and 4pm with some great MDF products as well as other items (including a few of my dies!).  Don't forget to tune in!

Just a quick reminder, my shows are scheduled for 9am, 12 noon and 6pm on Saturday and
11am, 2pm and 7pm on Sunday.  I am particularly excited to be doing this set of shows as I have something new to share that I have been working on for absolutely forever!  It is finally available here and over the past few years, I have answered a lot of emails asking where to find this item.  While you can't see this new item on this card, it has made an appearance on the blog within the past two weeks (how is that for a tease!!)  and is likely to show up even more often now!!  All for now, Sue x

Love both dies today. Both are waiting to be used as soon as this cast is off my wrist. Love the silver and white but have a Golden Wedding coming up so think I will cut the Lyra die in Gold for that occasion. Have signed into Bloglovin and will be watching the shows at the weekend.
