Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  I think I have survived the frenzied multiple blog postings  for the past five days! I hope you have too!   I have to say that the response was absolutely phenomenal and far exceeded my expectations! There were a record number of comments left on the very first post, well over 500!   I am truly humbled by all your gracious comments and emails.  I saw so many new names too, I hope that we will continue to see all the new faces around the blog too!   It has been a real labour of love for me for the past year and there were days where I was beginning to feel like it was never going to happen!  I am over the moon to hear such wonderful comments, thank you so much!

The giveaway card for today is the one that I demoed at the CHA live show in January.  I hate to ask you again, but you need to leave a comment to be in the drawing for the card too.  I used the Heartfelt Creations floral stamp called Majestic Morning Bouquet and covered a piece of milk card with it stamped in black.  Once stamped, I covered the entire piece with a sticky adhesive sheet and added diamond Sprinkles to it for a bit of glitz and glam.  I cut two of the Scalloped Borders Two in black and backed them with milk card and added them vertically to either side of the card.  I cut three of the Raindrops On Roses dies in milk card so I was able to use them as a decorative background accent behind my sentiment.  The sentiment was stamped and cut out with the Fancy Tags Two die and inked with Antique Linen.  I seated it upon a Labels 28 die cut in black that I also stamped with the same flower as the background for a bit of detail.  I cut a faux nestie in milk for it and attached my decorative pieces to that to complete the focal element.  I stamped the Majestic Blooms flower stamp and cut it out with the matching die and put together several flowers.  I added a few flowers around the card and seated one on a messy bow and some jute twine.  I finished the card with a pierced double mat layer in milk card and added some flatback pearls as final accents.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 9 1/4" in size.
Just a quick note to let you know that I am heading back home today (will be flying as this goes live, in fact!) but I am hoping to get all the drawings done and posted for the new die releases on Friday.  The winner of this card will be posted on Saturday and the comment game winners on Sunday so don't forget to check to see if your name has been picked!  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue, hope you have had a smooth journey home, sorry about the weather though, I hope you have your thermals!
Today's card is stunning, I love the colour combination and a great mix of dies.
You really have made my fingers 'itch' to get back into that craft room and blow the cobwebs away, although with a little glitter they would look very pretty!
I have discovered your video tutorials, I love them, it's a fantastic idea.
I can't believe how much the blog has grown, you are so inspiring Sue.
I look forward to tomorrow's blog Sue, thanks for everything.
Huge hugs

Hi Sue

stunning, beautiful and very elegant.

I echo all the other ladies with a big Thank you for all hard work and stunning creations. I'm so pleased you persevered, even though at times I expect you were pulling your hair out. I think the proof is in the the product, and the shops have sold out time and time again. Now hopefully you can breathe easier, but knowing you , you are probably on to your next venture. Again, a big Thank you.

Hi Steph, I hope you are not still hurting too much today, I thought about you yesterday after your strenuous day out on Monday. I hope you got everything you needed for your invitations.

Hi Sue,
Another lovely card,I love how you use the bracket borders. I will have to get some now that I see how they are used. I have lots of Spellibinders dies but never got any of these.I am new to your blog as I said earlier, and I was wondering what is Milk card , is that a cream color,as I have not seen that before and have been card making for years. Safe trip and look forward to more of your lovely cards.

Hi Sue

A lovely 'fresh' looking card. Your new dies are great. Would it be possible to make the same design dies but much smaller? The designs are really nice but a little large to go on my cards. I tend to make the smaller sizes as the 8" x 8" are so expensive to post.

Hope I am lucky.

Good afternoon Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Well i first started this morning at comment 72 so slow is not the word today, i think even the tortoise would be beat me.
Todays card is going to take a few looks Sue for me to see all the different components of it. At first glance i thought it looked like white marble with a grey vein running through it and there is just so much to see.
Him up above has been out with his flour sellar and lost the top of it, being heavy handed. But as long as it stays up there it doesn't cause anyone any harm.
Steph i think you took my body around the shops with you yesterday as it's telling on me today. I take it you didn't find the new body , legs etc. when you were out and about. You know i sometimes think it would be less painful considering other more drastic options but then you get phantom pain, and crikey its bad enough the now.
To June who turns 65 today, i hope you have a lovely birthday. Ignore what the weather is like outside but listens to the hearts of your loved ones and their birthday wishes. A card with the right words can say a thousand things very simply, so i hope you have a great day.
Going to go and see you all tomorrow hopefully, the eyes are shutting only to open with the next spasm so excuse me girls,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

Hi sue and fellow blog followers

Such a lovely card today I need those raindrop and roses dies. Missed out on the CHA launch no craft pennies that week. I still have it recorded so I'm going to put my pjs on make a coffee and rewatch it. I didn't see much CHA as a presenter ( I won't name him) was doing my head in being very very hyper.

I was stalking the postman today waiting for my joanna sheen order to arrive and get my hands on my new dies but I think I'm pushing it a bit as I only order on Monday.
Had grandchildren over yesterday and thought my fibro was playing up because I did too much but no I've got a killer cold coming on so even if they do turn up before weekend I don't think I'm going to be up to any crafting.

I wish I could see picture of what all of you were making with your dies we need some sort of group we can all post too. Can we do so etching on pin interest ? I'm not sure how it works.

All the best Pauline (freedom99)

I am almost ashamed to say that although I like today's card it is a little busy for my taste.
I would like to thank you again for the amazing last few days and all the hard work you put in to make it possible. I have ordered most of the Italian collection from JS but was too late to get the Classic Rose (boo hoo) so got the gorgeous Embroidered Striplet instead.

Good evening Sue, sorry to be writing late, have had a day crafting with a good friend-the one whose G.C I managed to break. Well, strike me if karma didn't happen-she only went and got my plates and die stuck-I think that's one all don't you?
Anyway, back to your crafting; today's card is another stunner, I have the edge dies so welcome any ideas on best ways to use them. You always manage such beautiful colour combinations and composition I wonder, do you go as the mood takes or do you sketch your ideas first?
I hope the journey home didn't get hampered by the weather too much and everyone arrived safely.

Welcome home Sue x What you have achieved during the past year & the results you have shown us over the past 5 days is nothing but, truly awe inspiring. From the germination of your tiny seed of an idea you have worked so hard to to bring that seed to fruition. l so wish l had not suffered so much with spasms during this special time of yours as l only managed to use my hand once to leave a short comments to say what l thought (+ a chance to win a beautiful die) my husband was too busy during the day but would scroll through at night for me, to show me what you had put up that day.
So thank you Sue for all your hard work, we love & thank you what you do for us on a daily basis. Yet now on top of this you've gone through a tough year to design & get to the manufacturing stage of these beautiful dies. So please, accept my heartfelt thanks to you on behalf of us all for all you've done.

The trouble with this commenting is that there are not enough words to describe your creative talent and I just feel so repetitive all the time - especially when 300 others have posted first! Hope you have a well deserved break with your mum. x

Another stunning card Sue, I've just received the raindrops on roses dies so may be popping back for some inspiration. Love the colours of this card too, so elegant.

Hope your journey home goes smoothly.
