Orphan Cards

Hi bloggers!  Happy New Year's Eve!  Last year I put up my orphan card post and thought I'd make this an annual thing.   By "orphan cards" I mean those cards that I made that I haven't felt were either good enough or just didn't come out like I had envisioned so they were never blogged.  So they are, in effect, orphans.  Last year I drew a name from the list of those who left comments about the cards to win the cards and give them a home (so they were no longer orphaned!)  If you feel like you can give a loving home to these poor cards, then please leave me a comment.  I will draw a name and announce the winner on Wednesday's post.  Have a safe and wonderful new year's eve!  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue,
A very Happy New Year to you and your family, and I hope 2013 will be kind to you.
What a lovely idea to give your orphan cards a good home, I must say I would be honoured to receive any of these cards. You have been such an inspiration to me with your beautiful card making ideas, and if I were to receive one of these cards it would take place in my newly acquired craft room.
Love and best wishes Linda xxx

Hi Sue,
A lovely selection of cards today. I particularly like "I believe in you and you colour my world." It's reassuring to hear that someone as talented as you can sometimes make a card that doesn't turn out quite like you wanted or expected. I look forward to your blog everyday. Happy new year to you and your family.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Sue

I love your blog and visit every day but I am usually a lurker rather than a commenter but couldn't let your orphan's go by without feeling loved by receiving another comment :-)

I love the dots around the edge of the black and grey card but the one I would love and use first is the last one - I know just the person who needs a bit of TLC at the moment and this card would be perfect to send

Beset wishes for 2013 - may it bring you happiness, good health and lots of professional success

Hmm, I see what you mean, very substandard cards, I should be embarrassed to admit to them......NOT! My 'less good' cards should be as bad, they'd be much improved.

Happy New Year. I wish you and your family a wonderful new year filled with much love and joy. I like to say that my cards are inspired by Him, however your wonderful creativity has filled my head with wonderful beginnings. Where there is love there is beauty. Thank you for all the love you have shared in your cards. They are a thing of beauty and I have yet to find one I didn't like. I'm sure your orphans will find a good home. (I sure wouldn't mind giving them a home.) To whoever wins, Congrats.

Oh my word Sue....these are gorgeous, if I had made any one of these I would be a very happy person.
I absolutely love your style of card making and although we each have our favourite techniques, I tend to follow a similar (but far less grand) style as yours. I don't buy printed embellishments as I love starting off with just card, patterned paper and my Spellbinders..I love to see what my cards turn out like. It is so rewarding and I only started 14 months ago. Thank you so much for the tutorials and the inspiration. Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family. x

Hi Sue, these "Orphaned cards" are wonderful. I can't imagine why you didn't think they'd turned out as good as you would've liked. If you have any of these "Orphans" or "Orphans" from this year, 2013, that need adopting, please consider me a suitable adoptive parent. I would be honoured and would love the opportunity to give them a good home.

Please can you post instructions of how you do your beautiful ribbon 'Double Bows'. Mine never look as good. I saw you do them on TV earlier on in the year, but can't remember your technique.
Many thanks, and a Merry Christmas to you and your family,

Angela in Swansea.
