Fluttering By

Hi blog friends!  A quickie card here which is always nice if you need an all occasion type card.  This one is workable in any colour combinations to so you can use up left over papers like I have done here.  I used one of the edgeabilibity dies to create a border between my two decorative papers.  I used a small piece of the striped paper behind the butterfly.  I used the outside edge of the die to cut a faux nestie shape for this so you would see the stripes through the lacy look of the butterfly.  On a whim, I decided to use a pair of decorative pins for the butterfly antennae.  It's a large butterfly die so size wise it kind of works okay (it was a bit of fun!).  I stamped the sentiment directly on the background papers and added some swirls of rhinestones for fill in accents.  All for now, Sue x

Once again a stunning card. I'm new to crafting, but you have given me such inspiration, it makes me want to make cards to achieve what you do, unfortunately I've just had a hand operation, so will have to ease my way back in gently.

Hi Sue, well you've ticked all my boxes today. I just love the butterfly die. I have also bought a smaller cut out die, to use on my granddaughter's wedding stationary. It is great and doesn't take up so much room on the card. You could even use 2.
Lots of love. Jenny L

This is lovely Sue, that is a clever way of using the butterfly as a faux nestie, I have done it using the labels but wouldnt have thought of doing it with a fancy die. The hat pins really finish it off and look gorgeous. I love the swirls too but I know that I couldnt use them on a card I would want to keep them lol, they are too nice.

Hi Sue
I like a quickie, always good to have one under your belt for those events u forget. I haven't used the big butterfly but love the small ones from your stamp collections. I use beads and sequins on wire. I stamp on hot foam with stamps for patterns, and in ink. I have been known to do felt butterflies too. Adds a bit of fun to a card.
Great card love it. Like the way you have added colour in. Thanks for all i learnt.

Hi Sue,
I am sorry to be writing here a day late, I was unable to comment yesterday, though I did pop on to have a look at the card, just didn't have time to comment.
The girls are right, it is lovely to see a card in greens and especially lots of pretty designer papers. The floral damask type paper is beautiful, it reminds me of Anna Griffin or Craftwork cards floral.
Well off to comment on todays card.
