Hugs & Kisses

Good Sunday morning all!  I have a card that uses some older dies today.  I started with a piece of black card and I used Tantalising Teal and Apple Fizz Lustre Polishes on the background.  I randomly applied them together then set them aside to dry thoroughly.  Next I used the Pyxis Gemini die and cut it into the bottom of the card three times. I used the Mallory die and cut it into the card on the top. I cut the outer die in the set to create a thin white frame that I glued around the Mallory die.   I backed the entire background with a piece of white card. I cut the Hugs & Kisses sentiment out of a leftover piece of the lustre polished background and glued it to the top of the Mallory die.  I added three small glittered flowers around the sentiment.  The card was completed with white mats and layer.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  8 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hiya Sue. It's a blast definitely from the past today every die except the expression are from pre multiple die releases, once a year treats, the Wednesday giveaway etc, and they must be popular because you can still buy them, I love the whole design but there's a 'but' I don't like green, the only green I'm in favour of is certain green veg lol as a child I'd never eat green sweeties, so sharing was my way out lol.
Sending love to a today xxx

Morning Sue,
I can see this design being made in lots of different colours. I don't have this particular Gemini die but I have others which will do the job in a similar way.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sue .

Lovely card. The dies still look amazing, but I am not a lover of the colour green. It would look just as beautiful in any colour though.

Hi Sue. Nice design for this card, however, although I do like green, there is a bit too much of it for me. Perhaps the card could do with a bit of variation in colours - sorry!

Morning Sue, love it when you use the older dies as I can’t afford many of the new dies with the cost of living crisis!! Beautiful card, love the colour of the background. Love Jean xxx

Hi Sue, I have left a very late comment on yesterday's card and was determined not to miss today. I really like this card and cutting the Gemini die three times gives the impression of layers without extra weight or depth, a good idea that I must remember. I do love green and the lustre polishes have a gorgeous shine to them.

I am undecided about this one. I love the design and although green is my favourite colour, and this green is gorgeous, maybe it’s just a bit too much. Lovely to see some of your older dies though. X

Lovely card, Sue. This green (I wouldn't have guessed that the background was originally a piece of black card) and white combination is so pretty. Thanks for sharing.

Hugs from Toronto to you all.
Stay safe and healthy.
