So Glad We're Friends

Hi bloggers!  I reached into my stash today for a Pixie Powder background to use.  I found one that used Plum Twist, Aubergine Dream and Teal Wash Pixie Powders.   I cut the Swirly Vine Background out of coconut white card and glued it to the Pixie Powder background.  I used the inner cutting die from the set to cut the centre square.  I added mounting foam to the outer frame to raise it and added it to another piece of white card.  I recessed the centre down inside the frame.  I cut the So Glad We're Friends sentiment out of both white and black card.  I used the black die cut as a shadow behind the saying, then glued it to the centre of the card.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and cut out the Exquisite Poppy die out of it.  I peeled the backing paper off and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz, then assembled the flower.  I seated the flower in the corner of the frame and used the Pinwheel Floral Leaves and the Dandelion Clocks as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7"  in size.

I just thought I would add a little note to the blog today.  It seems that Blogger is changing the way you put the blog posts together on the admin side.  I never understand why they have to change something that isn't broken!  However, they are only giving their users til the end of Sept to figure out how to use it.  So far, I cannot find how to delete any pics that I do not want on my post, how to set the schedule for a post or how to add the bold of my products.  I tell you just in case you notice some changes to the posts before I figure out everything they have changed!   Fingers crossed, I can work it all out!  All for now. Sue x

Hi Sue. At the moment your products are highlighted in bold text and your photography is as always beautiful showing us every gorgeous detail. Maybe they should limit the amount of words used on each post, it would stop me spouting on and on with stupid ideas etc lol and now so many virtual friends are whooping and cheering and repeating "yes yes" lol. Today is another beautiful piece of colourful inspiration so thank you for keeping the smile on my face - STAY SAFE KEEP CARING AND VIGILANT xxx 💖

A lovely card I do like Pixie Powder backgrounds Lots of Bloggers don’t like the new way and like you say why change something that isn’t broken I hope you manage to get things sorted Logically any change should be an improvement and make it easier but it doesn’t appear to be so...!

Gorgeous, love everything about it. This is one of my favourite frames & with my favourite pixies you really couldn’t go wrong! Thank you Sue.
I sympathise with you trying to change something which worked perfectly. I dread having to update my computer, they change things that didn’t need changing & I have to work out where things have disappeared to! Good luck!

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another beautiful creation using the Pixie powders, and love the sentiment on the front, just perfect.

I am sure you will figure out the changes, and yes I don't see why they want to do it, but technology is changing all the time.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue. What a stunning background. I am surprised you found it in your stash and hadn't used it already! Love that swirly vine die.

I am not the most techy person in the world and I hate it when they change anything at all. Good luck sorting out the blog posts.

Morning Sue,
Beautiful colour combination which really shows off the pretty dies.
Who wouldn't want to receive a card as lovely as this?

Good luck with your blogger. I always think that 'a 9year old' is very helpful with technological problems. lol Why on why do some people have to mess around and change things that are working perfectly well?

A really lovely card. I stick to the mantra “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” for good reason. My husband calls me ‘Jonah’ because anything I try with technology goes wrong! Good luck with getting it sorted.

Hi Sue, I love it when you find these pixie powdered backgrounds in your stash, it must be huge :-) This background looks brilliant with the Swirly Vine Background and the sparkly Exquisite Poppy is lovely.
Doesn't it drive you mad when they change things that are working perfectly well just because they can? I know we will all understand if there are a few blips until you get to grips with the changes, it is such a nuisance trying to find things and it all takes twice as long.

Hi Sue, such a delightful card. I can understand your frustration. Why it is felt necessary to change things when they are working perfectly well is never explained. I feel the same about the recent Facebook changes, very annoying. But some call it progress..........

Beautiful card Sue, love the pixie powder colors!!! Isn't technology great, when you finally get it to work and are satisfied with it then they want to change it!!!! We will all be patient with the glitches because we all have had to go through something like this!
