Miss You

Hi bloggers!  Since I have had a little more time on my hands due to social isolating and not travelling, I made this card using some older dies.  See, there is a very small upside to a pandemic, but I will take any thing positive to come of this mess!   It is nice to be able to go back and pull out dies from different releases to put together things!  I just love this Diagonal Floral Vines embossing folder and wanted to use it with a new colour of Glitter kiss!  I coated a piece of card with the Sea Green Glitter Kiss and allowed it to dry thoroughly.  Next I embossed it with the Diagonal Floral Vines folder for texture.  I wanted the pattern to show up a bit more so I lightly sponged the top of the diagonal pattern with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink, just enough to make them more focal.   I used the Sophia die cut in white as a base.   Next I cut the Maggie die in white and nipped it in half and added the sides to the Sophia die.  I cut the centre of the Sophia die in white and backed it with a piece of the Glitter kiss card.  I added this piece with foam to the centre, then cut a small octagon as a base for my Miss You sentiment.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

Morning Sue. I'd have normally stocked up the cards I was low on ready for market but as I'm having to isolate and I can't have an inside table I won't be attending market for a while yet so all I have are the orders from market regulars and my regular customers that first bought a card 4yrs ago on her first and last visit to the farmer's market, so I'm hardly rushed lol.
I love that the earlier dies are popping up as it stands a chance I have some of those that you use and this was a favourite of mine and I have a little box saved from the cotton buds where I save the hearts that fall from the Maggie die which are so useful and dipped into my heart box several times for other cards, so all in all its lovely to be reminded of all those older dies being pushed to the bottom of our collections KEEP em coming my lovely in the meantime STAY SAFE AND KEEP CARING xxxx 💖

Hello Sue.
A gorgeous card Sue and you must have a much tidier mind than I have to be able to use dies from the past and to actually know their names.
I was without my PC for half a day yesterday and as I'm still trying to sort out my craft room
I had 'stuff' all over the place. I don'
t have a TV so I couldn't watch my craft channels either.
I called my Son out and here I am.
I love everything about this card and Thank You so very much for visiting us with your goodies each and every day.
Hugs
Marie P.

Beautiful card, I agree with you, so much more time to experiment with things long since forgotten, but I often go back to my old dies, all your dies are just so amazing, can never decide which one to use.....love this sea green glitter kiss, but I do so struggle with applying this to card, is never even, hence not a technique I use too often, but when you use it, it looks great. The embossing folder is top of my list, must get down to ordering it, so versatile.....Sue I do so miss your videos, are you not doing them anymore, used to love sitting and watching them for more inspiration. Luv Ursula xxxx

Hi Sue. Great to bring out the older dies which might otherwise have been forgotten about. Good idea to give them a new lease of life with some of the newer products. Look how nicely this card has turned out.

This is a gorgeous card. I also love that embossing folder and it looks great "kissed".
I agree it is very difficult to see a bright side to this mess we are in but crafting just may be the best as I believe we are all trying to stay busy inside.
Hope everyone has a safe & productive Thursday,

Hi Sue

A lovely card. It’s great to see your older dies making an appearance again. I’m guilty at the moment of simply buying more dies and stash and not using them that much, don’t really know why.

Love Helen xxx

Don’t normally go for green, but this certainly works & looks very pretty with the white lacy look.
Strange times but your daily blog does give us a sense of normality. This years memories will be very unusual. We have now had to cancel my husband’s 80th birthday party three times, then of course we moved during lockdown so life has certainly changed.
Thank you Sue for all your inspiration & for keeping your blog going for us all, much appreciated.
