Sending Warm Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I have been having fun with the Cube Quilt on this card!  I started by cutting the Cube Quilt out of white, black and Iris card.  I experimented with offsetting the three colours against each other and turning them in opposite directions.  I ended up with this pattern which I found pleasing and interesting.  I glued them together and added a white backing to it.  I added some thin strips of black card to cover the cut edges and added pearls in each of the corners.  I cut a larger piece of white card and ran double sided tape around all four edges.  I sprinkled Periwinkle Polished Silk Glitter over the tape.  I added the quilt piece to the centre with mounting foam.  The Sending Warm Wishes sentiment was used cut in black and added to white shadows.  I stacked the sentiment in the centre of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x 7 3/4" in size.  All for now Sue x

This card looks so complicated yet from your description sounds relatively straightforward, just a case of turning each layer until you like the look. Very clever Sue, thank you!

Hi Sue. How great to show us how to create a different kind of background although, for me, the result is a bit too confused and busy - sorry.
