Christmas Double Day

Hello!  Welcome to another Christmas double day.  I am starting with a lovely Bell card. I cut a piece of antique silver card as my background.  I cut two of the Frosty Snowflake border die in white and glued them to the sides of the card.  Next I embossed a piece of white card with the Ice Crystal embossing folder.  I matted it with silver mirror card and added it to the top centre of the card with foam.  I cut two of the Christmas Bells out of silver mirror card then backed them with antique silver card.  I mounted them on the embossed background and added a silver bow to the top.  The Happy Christmas sentiment was cut twice out of white card, stacked them glued to the bottom centre of the card.  White, antique silver and silver mirror card were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  Scroll down to see card number two.

Card number two is a quirky snowman card.  I started by cutting the Snowfall Background out of cobalt blue card. I backed it in white, then cut four corners out of white card and gluing them into the corners.  I added a white frame around the background using the Double Pierced Noble Squares.  In the centre, I cut a white circular frame using the centre dies from the Snowfall Background.  I cut the snowman from the Build A Snowman die set, added arms, nose, bowtie and mittens. I cut the snowman off at the circular line so he looks like he is peeking out a circular window.  I added the Let It Snow mini expression above it. White and cobalt blue mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Woohoo I'd forgotten it was double festive day ! Put it down to age lol. No, no way can I pick a favourite, the first sample is just beautiful with your bells (not just for festive cards) Paul has made a beautiful wedding card using them. And your second beautiful sample is just adorable Sue, your cute little snowman peeping through that perfect background brings a smile to my face and I need him so badly. Just prepared the black box for the weekend as Sunday should be market day but listening to the forecasts I wouldn't be surprised if it's not cancelled and I need to tick so much off my need list, that's not going to happen is it 😢 on the plus side, I have a warm and cosy craft weekend to make up for my disappointment xxx

Hello Sue and all
Gotta love twofers! Both of these cards are gorgeous in their own way, time to get serious with the special Christmas cards and you have given us so much inspiration already Sue. The days are getting to be so nice outside now in our spring but still cool enough of an evening to enjoy a good card session.
Still to watch your takeover on rewind too, can’t wait
Hugs

Good Morning Sue and all
I have to say I love double day Friday seeing you christmas creations and always find it to difficult to pick a favourite. I love the christmas bell which I have to admit I bought create more wedding cards. I have just bought the snowflake boarder so think I will have to create a card .
The snowman card is just so cute with him peeping through giving a wave and check smile. The cobalt blue card really brings the design together. Thank you for sharing.

Oh dear, the Festive double days are coming round so quickly - soon be Christmas! Help I haven’t started my cards yet. I went for the cheeky chappy last week & while I do like your snowman card this week I think my favourite this week has to be those bells. Thank you Sue.

Don’t forget everyone it’s the Creative Expressions take over this weekend, starting with Sue at 6pm tonight.

Oh I love festive double days! 2 for 1!
Once again 2 completely different cards and I love them both. The first card screams elegance. The second card is so much fun. I have decided that there really is no point having a to do list with your cards. It has now turned into a ‘maybe one day list’!
Scotty dog - I hope you weren’t talking to me - I would never forget x
Happy Friday everyone.
I’ll ‘see’ you later Sue.
