Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi crafters!  Today's giveaway card is from one of my recent ODS show demos.  I started with a piece of slate grey card and used the scalloped edger die from the Trellis Edger die set on both sides to add a small detail.  I layered that piece on to deep blue card, white card and a wider piece of deep blue card.  I cut the Tahiti die in white and cut it in half.  Next I cut the Bora Bora die in deep blue card, backed it in Slate Grey and cut the centre out.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached the cut Tahiti die to the back on either side.  I cut thee inner die from the Bora Bora in white and seated it in the frame opening.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre cutting die from the Fiji die.  I used the centre cutting edges from both the Fiji die and the Tahiti to cut a thin frame out of deep blue card.  Using the Striped Nasturtiums, I cut an assortment of sizes, edged them with Decadent Denim Colour Cloud, spritzed them with water and created three scrunched flowers.  I seated them with leaves cut from the Family Tree die set on opposite sides of the card.  I completed the card with white, deep blue and slate grey layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  9" in size.  Leave a comment to be entered into the drawing to win this card.  The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post!  All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue, cheers me up on this thick white hoary frosty morning as I get ready for work, only 4 hours then off till Tuesday.
NannaTina, My thoughts are with you and the family today on this very sad occasion. Although you are saying goodbye to Mick, take heart that he will live in your heart forever, free from pain .
Tina, I'm so sorry that Peter has deteriorated, hopefully the nursing staff can get him back on track, it is such a worry for you. Hugs to both of you.
Tracey, you are such a brave lady, I hope you managed to have some quality time with Graeme too.
I have loved reading your Christmas stories, all of the lovely dies received from Santa and family times.
June, you do make me laugh, you are a gem.
Elaine, I think Andrew and Helen did the right thing, he is half way through his treatment and doesn't want a set back. Helen is areal star too.
Hugs to all including missing friends, Wheeley, Laine, PP, Yvonne, Cheryl, Lynda, hope you all had a lovely Christmas too.

Morning Sue. Absolutely gorgeous. Your floral dies are amazing, not only do they make the most beautiful Nasturtiums, they also make stunning 'pinks' now find other brands of floral dies that do that - doubt you will, such versatility.
Such a sad blog at the moment, hoping for brighter days soon.
Sending hugs to lift your heart and have a good day Sue xxx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow this is a gorgeous card for a giveaway, I like the sentiment but also the way you have done the flowers, brilliant, someone is going to be a very lucky person on Saturday.

Pam, hope you have an fairly easy day at work today, then as you say off until Tuesday so you can party and boogie away on Sunday night and still have a day to get over it.

NannaTina, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family on this sad day, it will be hard for you all but Mick is out of pain and knows you all love him. xx

Tina, I am sorry that Peter is not too well, what did the GP and Macmillan nurses say, I am sure they can help make him more comfortable. xxx

Elaine, Helen has the right idea about Andrew's food etc. as you say she is an absolute star. xx

Probably another chill out day today, got so much tidying up in my craft room to do,.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hi Sue
Beautiful card
Thank you for thinking about us over the Christmas period and today as we say goodbye, Christmas has been a challenge as he made our Christmas he did the cooking so I had to step up and cook much to the amusement of my kids they all said they would bring 'ding dong' meals I've managed 4 now so just got one more on Friday, I made some photo baubles to hang on everyone's tree with a picture of Mick in his bah hum bug hat thumbs up and smiling, it still doesn't feel real that he's gone so not looking forward to today but we will get through it and remember the great times.
Love and hugs to all

Thank you Sue for another beautiful card. Don't have these dies as yet!! Hopefully soon.
Pam - enjoy your four hours at work then you can do as you like through till Tuesday.
June Smith - hope Santa brought lots of crafting goodies. Stay warm xxx
Nanna Tina my thoughts are with you and your family.
Well Peter's GP surgery was not open yesterday so will try again later. Left message for Macmillan nurse- no one came nor the Community Nurse to change his dressing. Managed to get fresh orange with ice through a straw down and found some small tins of Fanta which he had with ice to kill the bubbles, nothing to eat though.
Our love and crafty hugs to all .

Morning, Sue,
What a Stunner! I love the slate grey with the bright blue, a wonderful card for the last 2016 giveaway...just where has this year gone?
Well, it's a brilliant sunny day down here in my corner of Cornwall. The sky is a deep, right here blue with no vlouds to be seen...I'm even thinking of hanging so easy washing out for a change. Sadly I can't take the dog out just yet though as I've had an email from the post office telling g me they are going to be delivering a package for me today so I have to make sure I'm in as it's craft supplies...VERY important mail!, fingers roused that it stays nice all day so she can have a run in the field.
Happy Wednesday everyone.

We have had a beautiful bright sunny day here in the North of West Sussex where the temperature has not moved much above freezing.
Today I collected my new car having had my previous one written off at the end of November by a hit and run driver who was found to be four times over the limit! It is good to have my own wheels back again and am looking forward to taking it on a nice run when the temoerature warms up a little!
There is so much sadness on the Blog at this time so I am thinking of those followers mourning the loss of loved ones, those in pain and suffering and for those caring for the sick.

Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

There has been some fabulous cards over the past few days which have highlighted your brilliance Sue, they have been a joy to behold and have provided me with some much needed inspiration....i am sad to see the end of the Christmas cards though, they have provided me with some of my favourite cards of the entire year.
Today's card is beautiful, I don't have any of the dies used having spent the past 7 weeks in craft deprived hell.....i do hope to catch up in the coming months provided you don't surprise us will another fabulous launch, that would rally put the cat amongst the pigeons!:-) In saying that, i still appreciate a true work of art and maybe sometime in the near future i will be able to replicate it.
I do hope that you had the Christmas you deserve Sue, my thoughts were with you on your first holiday season without your dear Mum.
I am so glad to hear that so many of our lovely Wilsonettes had an enjoyable time, Santa was really good to you all and whilst he did turn up at my house he left a note saying that i had more dies and craft goodies than i knew what to do with and thus if i wanted any more i could jolly well buy it for myself! The cheek of it:-)
I have missed the past few days not because of post Christmas indulgence or over activity but because sadly and unexpectadly my Aunt passed away on Boxing Day. It has come as a real shock to the family, she was only 2yrs older than my Mum and it is really making me think about the fragility of life and how precious our loved ones are. Personally, i will be so glad to see the back of 2016, not only have we lost so many greats of the showbiz world i have also lost my uncle and beloved Dad too........I'm sorry, I'm still in shock and my head is filled with thoughts of death and fear that my own Mum could go at any time too. I hope I'm not depressing anyone, that's the last thing i would want to do because it's meant to be a time of love and laughter, a celebration and i do hope that you are all having a fantastic time with family and friends.
Dear Tina, i have been thinking of you all day, i do hope that you coped with the stresses of the day and managed to remember the good times with Mick, he will be sadly missed by so many but he is finally at peace and you can relax in the knowledge that his suffering is at an endxxx
Tina, sorry to hear about Peters difficulties, it's so important that he eats and drinks adequately but I don't need to tell you that do I? I hope he gets his appetite back soon and that you've been able to contact his nurses todayxxx
Elaine, glad to hear Andrew enjoyed his Christmas and Helens great cooking. Good luck with the treatment again later this weekxxx
Pam, hope you enjoy your break from work, good excuse to overimbibe on Hogmanay if you ask me:-)
Sending cuddles to Yvonne, Tracy, Theresa, Myra, Maureen, P, Pat, Frances, Deb C, Wheely, and all my bestest blog buddiesxxx
Off to watch a programme about cute little kittens too cheer me up:-)

Crafty love and hugs

A somewhat late comment as our 'internet' went down yesterday and today's speed is even slower than the normal half meg!

The colour combination of this card is very striking. I have yet to catch up on the show where you demonstrated it, I hope it is still available when I finally get back to civilisation tomorrow because I would certainly like to replicate it within my limited selection of dies.

Beautiful as usual... may our dear Lord bless all who are hurting with loss and illness.
I had my first Christmas at my sister's who lost her only son who was only 17 years old. You definitely feel the absence, but also know they are smiling down at you!!

As always, thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
