Star Spray

Hello crafters!  Last, but not least, is the Star Spray!  This die has a left and right facing spray for you to use in all sorts of ways.  Shown here used as a background as well as an embellishment for my poinsettias, it is just so pretty!  It is sure to be a real go to for all your festive cards!  This is the last chance for you to be entered into the drawing for a die set.  The drawing will take place and be announced on the blog on Monday Aug. 17th so don't forget to check back to see if your name has been drawn!  I hope you have enjoyed this mini launch.  Hopefully you will be able to find something that will work for your Christmas cards and projects this year!  All for now, Sue x

I am a big fan of spray dies and this will go well with the holly sprays to add an accent to a wreath.
This is also one of those, not just for Christmas dies, because stars can be used for many occasions so it will have it's uses all year round and that's important to me when buying dies.

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes.
Well what a finish in star spangled style Sue and sit down as i don't want you to faint but i do like this card as it is so stylish and beautiful in the white, BLACK and grey touch. This would be the type of card that i could make for Kirsten's ultra stylish "In Laws" who are more up to date than i will every be. You know the miniulistic home that has nothing out anywhere as it's just clutter, well that to me is a house, not a home and i like all my little bits around me like the wee ornament that the bairns bought me when they were 8 and 1, the bunny that Jim and i bought mum with our pocket money. But it wouldn't do if we were all the same and that is why we need different inspiration for others that are not on the same wavelength as us, so thank you Sue for a lovely trip in to Christmas wonderland with your beautiful dies and the treasures that you have made to enchant us for the coming season.
Love and crafty hugs

Afternoon Sue
Oh wowee! How magical is this die? I have always found it really difficult to pick a favourite but I think this one has just done it for me. It is going to be fantastic not just for Christmas cards but I would use this all year round. It is going to add such a special touch to any card but especially milestone birthday cards.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful inspiration and talent that you have shared with us over the weekend. we are all so incredibly blessed to be part of your Wilsonette family and to have you at the helm. I so look forward to your blog every day and when you give us more than one post it is so exciting. Thank you x

Ok so a large Chicken in the oven. A very large bird obtained for a knock down price from the local Co-op. Check. Potatoes on the boil - enough to feed the England rugby team. Check. Fresh runner beans from a neighbours garden sliced (mmmmmm)! Check. Sweetheart cabbage prepared. Check. Carrots sliced. Check. Parsnips waiting patiently to be drizzled with honey and roasted. Check. Gluten free Yorkshire pudding batter (tastes better than you would expect) still to be made.
Ok so you spend the time preparing the Sunday roast -you don't want anyone to go hungry so you overdo it. With me so far? Then your dear sweet 17 year old tells you that he's now going to his girlfriends for a roast cos it's much nicer than yours. What would be your next step? Would it be
a - throw a tantrum and proceed to use him as target practice with the roast dinner you have spent all afternoon preparing.
b - smile at him, hug him tightly and say that's fine sweetheart?
c - grit your teeth and say ok but I wish you'd told me sooner?
d - say nothing but give him one of those looks that he knows fine well means you aren't too happy. You have no problem with him preferring someone else's roast but don't appreciate not being informed of the situation until the last minute.
You'll be pleased to hear that I resorted to option d but was very close to flinging myself wholeheartedly into option a.
So now Jake and I are on course to try and break the record for the most roast chicken dinner consumed in one sitting. I wonder if it will be more successful than my Eton Mess attempt. I will give it my best shot and I know Jake will put every ounce of his being in making the attempt a huge success x
Let you know how we get on tomorrow.
Have a lovely evening everyone

Hi Sue,

Just back from holiday in Cornwall & before I got stuck into unpacking I just had to take a quick peek at your cards as now I'm home I have internet.

didn't know that you have included dies from your new Xmas launch. Just a quick comment tonight but really love the star spray especially when used for the background as well...gorgeous card Sue & gorgeous dies too (but nothing new in that Sue as your dies are always winners) I think this one is my 2nd favourite.

Thank you Sue

You really have saved the best 'til last. The Star Spray is fantastic. All year round use in my book.
I've had lots of visitors today. All my grandchildren playing together. Perfect birthday. Guess what I'll be spending my J'S vouchers on! Good job I've got some vacant magnetic sheets.
Take care everyone.

Hi Sue

The star spray is a definate winner, its so dainty and pretty, no doubt it will be as popular as the holly spray was last year. Another beautiful card,I would not have thought of doing poinsettias in black, it looks quite striking.

Good evening lovely Sue and Wilsonettes,

Well, this is a bittersweet moment, sweet because we have been spoiled with choice and treated to a banquet of crafty delights but bitter because all good things must come to an end unfortunately.
You have saved the most versatile die till last, and as everyone has pointed out it is a design that could transform a card throughout the year and for many different occasions. It would never have occurred to me to use it as a background with just a suggestion of sparkle to enhance it..genius! I know that you have used this technique in the past but I adore the glossy poinsettia, they are so rich and elegant in this colour palette. I am going to find it incredibly challenging prioritising the dies that I most desperately need from the ones that I am more comfortable waiting a little longer for-maybe I should just do it in alphabetical order just to be fair.
Diane, Thankyou for your kind thoughts, I have decided to have something a bit more substantial for my dinner, guilt at having just a dessert overcame me at the last moment but I will definitely be having some before bedtime watching a cheesy movie like Dirty Dancing...Patrick Swayzes bum reminds me of two round juicy peaches...does that count as one of my five a day I wonder?
Yvonne, I bow at your feet oh supermum! Not only do you gift your little cherubs a state of the art playroom, lovingly bake them chocolate cake, nurse them through a sleep deprived hangover, tenderly wash and prepare their five a day and a large chicken but you also catered for a wheat intolerance by making gluten free yorkshire puts!!! How DARE your youngest not only reject but also insult your cooking! Your reaction was befitting of a true trouper, your deserve a sainthood and are an example to all-personally I would have totally flipped, so perhaps it is better that I remain childless, and only trusted with felines.
I hope that you and lovely Jake enjoyed the fruits of your labour, and that you won't be in need of any indigestion relief as a resultxxxx
Good luck to everyone in line for a prize In Sues draw tomorrow, we wait with baited breath for the results.
You have done yourself and us proud again Sue and I hope that you are enjoying a bit of me time with your familyxxx

Love and crafty hugs,
