Finishing Touches

Hi bloggers!  Day five and the final day of the Spring Die Blog Launch.  It is the Finishing Touches range today, an ever popular category within the die line.  First up is the new Foldover Flowers.  I love this die, it is another one that doesn't look like much but when you see what it can do, you will be amazed!  I specifically designed it to be used with felt, but you can also use paper and lightweight card to make the flowers as well.  Cut it, fold it over and glue the edges, then roll for the perfect felt flower.  You can see just look how lovely it comes out  on the sample shown here.  It comes in two sizes (the largest one is shown here) for true versatility.  The new Maidenhair Fern die provides a lovely detail to your floral elements.  I am sure it will be a real go to die in your crafty arsenal.  Leave me a comment to be included in the drawing and join me back here at noon for the next blog post.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue, I love the finishing touches die sets, especially the maidenhair fern. I was looking for a die to replace the maidenhair fern punch that I've had for years and curse it every time I use it as it doesn't work that well!! Now I will be able to cut maidenhair ferns without any hassle at all, thank you soooo much for this one.

This will be the first one I will be getting from the range, can't wait.

Craftihappiness to everyone and lots of love from Macky.

Morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,

I saw this die on a website and was really curious as to what it would create, now I know and I am super impressed. I have never worked with felt before and it would be really cool if you could do a video demo of the technique.
I love this stunning peach delight , it has really brightened up a truly miserable morning in Central Scotland-what happened to Spring I wonder!?!!
Hope you're enjoying the sunshine across the pond, do show some piccies on your return,
Roll on midday I say!

Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Thank you Sue for today's moment of beauty and the chance for those of us that challenged in making these kind of Pom Pom dahlias or chrysanthemums have more of a chance in getting them to turn out right.
From a miserable and very windy Glenochil I send you all hugs

Hi Sue

2 great sets, having 2 sizes of each definitely adds value. I especially love the fern, can see it dotted with stick on gems or CE glue. It looks like the rose folder was made to go with the dies. It's a folder that has grown on me a lot.

Finally brought my ringlet striplet :-)

It's even wet in Suffolk today, so Mr W is taking me to the DIY store 3 miles away for me to buy a few bits I need. They have a nice little coffee shop so we'll stop for a drink too.

I have made the felt flowers before after watching one of your tutorials, they will look so much better when all of the cuts are uniform, they ended up 50% wider at the end as I got bored of it! I actually showed my students how to make them on Friday and they loved it.

Amazing dies. Just beautiful.
