Get Well Wishes/ Sneak Peek

 Hi crafters!  Day four for the sneak peeks.  I hope you are enjoying them, maybe even a tiny bit tempted by some of these new goodies!  Guess what?  I got to play with Labels 20 again, am I a happy clam or what! LOL   I just always love the way it looks on a card.  This is from the Labels 20 Get Well set by Justrite.  I decided to go a bit regal on this one using gilding flakes against a black background.  I just love the way they pop when used with black card.  First, however, I started with the background and embossed it with my Basketweave embossing folder.  I split the background between the embossed white card and a piece of decorative paper from my stash, using a strip of soft gold card between them.  Next I stamped the large Get Well stamp by covering it with Flake and Glitter glue with a piece of cut 'n dry foam.  Remember to stamp quickly as it is a glue and then clean your stamp off before the residue dries on it.  There is no need to put your gilding flakes on first as this glue won't dry completely until it is covered with the flakes (or glitter or micro beads or whatever you want to use on it).  It will however, make your stamp very tacky if you do not clean it off.  I used the Summer Meadow gilding flakes for my card, and used a piece of Rubit Scrubit pad to refine the pattern and take away the excess flakes.  I cut it out with the matching Labels 20 die and added mounting foam to the back.  I stamped my sentiment in black archival ink and cut it out with a smaller Labels 20 die.  I inked it lightly with Black Soot while it was still in the die.  I also cut a Fancy Tags Two in soft gold card and used it to "hold" my sentiment in place (I did tape it on the back), but the swirly bits work perfectly over the edges of the label shape.  I stacked these pieces to create the focal element for my card.  Using the same decorative paper from the left side of my card, I made two roses following the directions on the tutorial at the top of my blog and seated them to the right of my focal element with some soft gold leaves and gold tulle.  I matted the card with a soft gold mat and a black mat before adding my final double white pierced mat.  For a finishing touch, I added some black rhinestones swirls to the opposite corners for a bit more bling.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size.
