Happy Sunday morning all! Here's a hold out from February (thought I had posted it, but it is no where to be found!) This is from the Heartfelt Creations shows featuring the Timeless Amour die set. I used taupe, soft gold and black with a touch of Persian Dawn gilding flakes for a bit of the glam. I started by simply cutting the corner detail out of my taupe card. This die has an outside cutting edge that can be used with it, but I just wanted the insert detail for my corners. I cut two of the Decorative Lace Borders (still one of my favourite border dies!) out of soft gold card. I cut the bottom lattice section off of the second one, matted it with black card and mounted it on foam pieces before adding back atop the border. I used some black seam binding to weave through the middle of it. I tied a messy bow and added a black Dazzler to the centre with some stick pins. I stamped my sentiment (from Justrite stamps) and cut it out with the heart cutting edge die. I used the insert to emboss the pattern over the sentiment for detail and tucked the edge under my Dazzler. For my focal element, I covered a piece of black card with a self adhesive sticky sheet and die cut the large heart from the set. The outer lace edge cuts separately from the inside heart so I decided to gild the lace edge with Persian Dawn gilding flakes. For the inside heart, I covered it with micro beads for texture. I glued the pieces to the centre of my card above the border. I decided to add a 3D element to my heart. I gilded a piece of card that was large enough to cut three of the smaller lattice hearts from. I folded them in half and glued them back to back at the folds. I glued the two back halves to the centre of my card inside the larger heart. These can easily fold flat to mail too. I added a thin black mat to the entire piece before adding a double mat cut from soft gold card which I pierced the inner mat to frame and finish my card. Finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size.
