Hi guys! I am heading off today on my trip to The Papeterie in Scotland with a stop in Preston for a day demoing at Cardcraft Plus (Inspirations) on Thursday. Please do stop by if you are in either area! I don't know what sort of internet access I will have so I have so I have scheduled my posts for the week already. I will have to delay the Sunday comment game drawing until I return home though and answering emails may have to wait as well. Now on to today's card. I have used taupe, rose and tan for it. I started by stamping the background using the same stamp as I used for the focal element. I stamped it with a
Clear Perfect Medium pad all around the edge for a watermarked look. You can see it in some of the close up pics below. I wrapped a piece of
rose frilly edged ribbon around it and taped the ends to the back and matted it with a piece of rose card. Next I cut out the
Enchanted Labels 28 die and inked it with
Tea Dye distress ink. The next layer is from the
Vintage Floret Frame die, which was cut out of taupe card and inked with tea dye as well, but with a bit darker inking. I tucked it under the corners of the
Enchanted Labels 28 die by nipping a tiny spot of the frame. I stamped the focal element from the
Enjoy The Day stamp set by Justrite in C
offee Archival ink and cut it out with the matching die. I inked it with
Victorian Velvet distress ink while in the die and stamped the sentiment in the middle. I made some
Vintage Floret flowers and stamped them in C
offee Archival using the matching stamps. I inked them with
Victorian Velvet to match my card's colour scheme. I attached them to my card with glue dots and added
flatback pearls to the centres. I tied a double bow with
frilly edged rose ribbon and added a bow of
natural jute and a
light brown Dazzler to the centre. A double pierced mat of taupe card finished the card. Finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 9" in size. All for now, Sue x

I love the colours you've used, again they are colours I would never have thought of putting together but look great. I would never had thought to combine these two colours, but it works so well, I'll have to try and get out of my comfort zone more often and experiment with difference oombos. Have a safe and enjoyable trip to Scotland.

Hi Sue! hello everyone! What beautiful colours Sue that you have used for this card. Love it, love it, love it! Just stunning! Hope you've had a safe journey and are having a great time in Scotland. My mum came from Fife. She left to join the RAF and that's where she met my dad. Within 6 months they were married and moved to Bridgend before settling down where we now. The times that I have ventured up there, it's just felt like home. "There's a moose,(mouse) loose, aboot (about) this hoose (house)" springs to mind..... anyway, I'm rambling again just have a great time in Preston too. What a beautiful girlie card this is! I love the enchanted labels 28 with the vintage floret frame tucked in its such a pretty look. The justrite stamp is really lovely i love the coffee ink you stamped it in with the distress ink you've coloured it with makes it beautiful. The gorgeous and pretty pink ribbon bow really set the card off to its best. A gorgeous card it's one of my favourites.
