Birthday Wishes

Hi bloggers!  I really simple card for today which showcases the Twisted Metal Tags and Accents set designed by Samantha Walker.  It was originally supposed to be part of my June shows, but then was cut from them.  I had already made this card with them so I thought I would at least give it a showing on the blog.  I used the die to cut an aperture in the centre of my coconut white card.  Once cut, I removed the die cut and used my Interlocking Circles embossing folder to give texture to the remaining background piece.  I added mounting foam to the back of the piece.  I cut another of the Twisted Metal Tags in red card this time.  I stamped a sentiment from the Classic Sentiments set by Creative Expressions and glued the red tag over the sentiment.  I wrapped a red silky crush ribbon around the bottom of the card and taped the ends to the back.  I attached my background piece over the sentiment with the red die cut giving it a recessed look.  I added a thin black mat and then a double white pierced mat.  At all the junctions of the embossed background, I added 3mm white pearls.  I finished the card with a small black and white cameo in the centre of the bow.  Finished dimensions are 7" x 8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x
