Lavender Thank You

Hi bloggers!  I have really been enjoying all your comments lately as I feel a bit removed while I am here in the States.   It is really nice to feel like I am not being forgotten while I'm away!  Thank you for that! Sorry to hear that the weather has been rather dull lately too, but hopefully today's card will brighten up your day!  Those lavender lovers out there should take a shine to it at least. I started by cutting two of the Heartfelt Decorative Lace borders in white.  I cut two strips of lavender card and used them behind the lattice portion of the border as an accent.  I glued the borders on to my background with the lattice areas flanking the top and bottom of the card.  Next I cut the largest die in the Labels 20 set out of lavender card.  I picked a deeper purple and cut the Heartfelt Oval Window die.  This die has lovely big swirly areas so I used it to hug the next layer on my focal element.  I stamped the large Labels 20 from the Justrite Kindness set using a clear Perfect Medium pad and I heat embossed it with white powder.  I cut it out with the matching die and tucked the swirls from the window around the curves of the die.  Such a nice fit!  Next I used the small Labels 20 stamp from the Fleur de Lis set and embossed it with white on a lavender card.  I stamped the sentiment in the open area using a black archival ink pad.  I cut it out and mounted it with foam pieces in the centre to complete my focal element.  I tied a messy bow out of three pieces of mauve (their name) seam binding and added two pearl stick pins and a round Dazzler to the centre.  I added my bow to the side of my card with glue dots and pierced the edges of my white mat to finish the card.  Almost as girlie as yesterday's card, but not quite!  All for now,
Sue x

Today's card is brilliant, great fit indeed with the dies, very clever, just love it all, colours, dies, layout, my Mum would love this card. Definitely missing you, haven't watched CC since Julia was on, family says I am suffering with SAD, me, there is nothing to watch, lol.

morning Sue from a dull but dry morning here in Burgundy - I love any shade of purple/lavender so today's card is definitely a hit with me. I really must get to grips with embossing my card whilst still in the die. I admit I'm a bit of a coward in not doing this but will make it a 'do it' and not 'I may'. These border dies are a must for my C.present list.

Morning Sue, A truly gorgeous card today, lavender my favourite colour, and I absolutely love how the two heartfelt creations border die-cuts just kiss each other in the middle of the card, I love how you have used those, truly inspiring, I'm going to be trying those dies in the same way. I also love how the JustRite stamps complement the dies beautifully and give a different look. Truly gorgeous.
Hope you are having a lovely time with your Mum, and because you have pre-organised your postings, it is as if you are still in the UK, your followers are deeply grateful to you for doing this for us, we all love you, Sue.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

GM Sue - yet another beautiful card. I am still struggling getting those rows of pierced dots to line up on my background perfectly - it got me thinking perhaps you could have a word with someone at Spellbinders about this? - surely those clever people could come up with a die that would do it for us and be perfect every time! It would make me, and I am sure many others, very happy indeed if they could!

Loving those lace borders, they are so ornate.....
You are best off where you are Sue, the weather is horrible here, cold, damp and this weekend the clocks go back so gets dark earlier too, yuck..... enjoy the warmth and the sunshine...

Beautiful card - looks stunning in its simplicity of design - only fellow crafters would understand the work involved. Thanks once again Sue.

I always check your posts every day - your designs are great - so inspiring. I particularly adore today's designs the colours work particularly well with this combination of curved dies.

Must say Sue that you would be missed if you did NOT blog daily. Love to see your creativity with these dies especially the Just right Kindness one (whch is on my wish list!). Must say up here in the Lake District our weather has been quite reasonably sunnyand dry for a good few days now. Hope you are enjoying yourself with your Mum and family.

Another stunner Sue! I'm loving this one too! That lace border you've been using for some of your cards the last few weeks made me buckle today & order it! Along with pointsettia petite stamps (I only had the dies) & 3x sets of jewel flower & flourishes - I'm using the flourish on wedding stationary (I had 1x set) & would take me forever to do one at a time... I'd promised myself I'd not go spending for a while after last months & this months shows you did, so I ignored my inner voice & did it anyway!!! Lol! Thats why I don't make any money - the moment I get some, I spend it!!!

The purples you used in today's card look striking. That lace border just seems so versatile I had to get it in the end... The use of that oval to hug the labels 20 was very clever. I'd not considered using it for that kind of thing. After my 4 year old sons operation this week & my 2 year old daughter getting a chest & ear infection in the same week, I've not had much time for card making, but I did manage one today for a friends birthday this coming Sunday. Hope she likes it :-) I did. Bye for now, Claire xxx

We could never forget you Sue. You are the one who gives us our daily inspiration - but not only that, there's that lovely warm feeling of pleasure and anticipation we get when we go to your blog too. And you never disappoint. It's a very special talent you have and we are so, so grateful for it.
