Hi guys! The Fancy Lattice die is the star of today's creation. A simple clean layout, nothing too flashy, but a nice card. I am really drawn to the black and white and pop of blue myself. As you seasoned bloggers know all too well, changing the colour to suit your taste or that of your recipient is the way forward. I started with a piece of coconut white card as my background. I used the Fancy Lattice background die to simply emboss the top half of the card. Embossing with a die gives a much different look than embossing with a folder. It's more subtle, but nonetheless beautiful. Use that option to extend your tricks in your crafting arsenal though. Next I cut one of the lattice backgrounds out of black card. I cut it down in size to about three inches wide and backed it with my blue card to make it pop. I added a few more mats of white then black to highlight it. I cut several of the flowers from the Jewelled Flowers and Flourish set out of white card and layered them up. For the centres, I added some Dazzlers that were sent to me as samples. These are white frosted Dazzlers, what do you think? There is a nice close up below. I think the clear sparkly Dazzlers would have been too overpowering here. I added some swirls from the same set for accents for my flowers. I stamped my sentiment on the lower portion of my background piece and matted with black card. I pierced the inner white mat to complete the card. I hope the simplicity of this one works for you !

I haven't tried embossing with a die yet - but I might have to now. I only have the basic lattice, but even that would make a nice card. (I caved in and ordered the poinsettia dies yesterday, and given the right colours, this could work with those too) Have a good day at Kettering, wish I was there.

hi sue if anyone read my comment yesterda about my excperiment on my unused beaded die paper, the card is on my blog today with the 2 flowers i mad out of it. hope you have seen the message about the taster pack of your card you use, with the colours. i have heard that colour dazllers are coming to. i have used guiling flakes on stisky paper and it tunse out well,on the sane card as the flowers. hope to see acetate soon,ona card. love bluebell-flowerwood.

Fab card love the colours. Your right does pop too. Very fresh looking card. Dare we think about spring lol. Noticing you don't use a lot of petals on your flowers?!?! Yet they look great here. Lattice die i love and so handy for many occasions and versatile. Best die i have bought for a while. Having great fun with it. Yes think we under use some of the dies as we just cut with them. Lately have use them as molds (for chocolate and and fimo) too. But some are too thin. And metal work of course.

A lovely card Sue. The embossed lattice looks quilted giving the card a dimensional look. It would also be easily repeatable in case you're crafting mojo had dried up.

Really late.posting today I am on holiday for a week so been busy until now. Those dazzlers are to die for are you going to be selling them? Today's card is very striking I love the embossing using the lattice die another great idea off you. Like many others I wish I was able to be in Kettering have a wonderful time. I bought the raspberry plate to use when embossing with folders and the Grand Calibur Sue - however the packaging does not tell you what the sandwich is for doing this. I found that it didn't emboss without using the mat, but then the folder sticks to the mat. However, tonight I discovered that I probably should be using the cut plate and raspberry plate together - not the base plate and raspberry plate or the raspberry plus pink and mat!!!!! Shame Spellbinders don't give instructions with the raspberry plate!!!!!1
