So Grateful For You / And Winners!

Good morning!  I just love Nestabling and it adds just the right amount of bling for the focal element here I think.  If you haven't tried it yet, Nestabling is pearls or black rhinestones that have been done in the exact shape of the Nestibility shapes.  Here I have used Labels 18 and the pearl Nestabling.  I added a couple of end pieces which were cut from the Ironworks dies and then inked.
I embossed the background with the itty bitty dot mask for texture.  I cut three of the lace doily borders, two from dusty rose card and the other one from cream card, giving the card a pretty petticoat look.  I love doing that as it adds some femininity to the card, but also adds texture and a lovely accent for a simple card.  I added a messy bow tied from basque red vintage ribbon.  I topped the bow with some pink Bakers twine and a wood button.  Two decorative pearl stick pins completed the accent to the bow.  I added pearl PVA glue dots to frame the edge of the card.  Another quick and easy one for any occasion.  I hope you like it!

Hi everyone. Congratulations to all the winners. Sue, yet another fab card. I love the colour combo & the simplistic look. Cutting up the iron work pieces & placing them behind the labels die was inspired. When I first saw the card I thought you had used 1 pre-shaped die. The nestabling definitely helps with this look as it hides the joins. With Love & Light Theresa. H

Ruthie said...

great colours yet again Sue it reminds me of raspberries and summer, and we have 4inch of snow outside..........The lace dies I love, they are a bit faffy to get out of the die but worth it in the end. Loverly card. Can I ask do you ever worry about how to post your cards I find it a real headache, so leave 'the deep ones' to people I can just hand them over to.

Hi Sue,
As some of the other followers have said, the way you 'grow' a die is fabulous. Just by adding a little bit here and there you completely change the look of a die or layer and always produce something not only clever but beautiful; and as CraftyJo says, I like your petticoat...LOL!!
With your permission Sue I would like to ask Lilygee how her husband is now he is home from hospital? I do hope he is doing well and you too. Also Sue, I have been chatting to a few of your followers (because of your lovely blog) and I am a little concerned as BIM hasn't commented for ages. She has always been an avid follower of yours and I just wondered if you could tell me if she is ok. You have my email - if you are able to let me know of course.
Congrats to all the winners, enjoy your candy.
Thanks and hugs Linda
