Sorry, But I Have To...

Hi everyone,  Again, I will apologise, but I have to show some of the Christmas cards from the last shows.  I know, I know, it's a dirty word for most of us this early in the year, but sometimes it just takes a few brave souls to post some pics on their blog to get us in the mood to begin our Christmas cards.  I am only doing you a favour by doing this so you won't leave it til the last minute (like last year).  So really this is like a public service that I'm doing, right?  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!  The truth is that I have been busy getting the last minute details finished for my workshops this weekend and the Dabble Day next weekend so I haven't had time to do much new stamping.  I figured that any new card (even Christmas) was better to look at the the same old one that has been on the blog for awhile now, right?  Anyways, this is the first Christmas card that I made when I got the new seasonal dies and I think it is my favourite one.  Usually, I have to make a few cards to get the feel of the dies until I make a card I really like, but this set was a blast to use!  It's a shame but my camera didn't pick up the pretty swirls that are stamped on the ornament opposite the poinsettias.  I love this crocheted ribbon too so look out for more of it to come.  It makes beautiful flowers too!  The Cosmic Shimmer white pearl PVA glue makes fab faux pearls, doesn't it!?  If you aren't too upset with me about having Christmas forced upon you, please leave me a comment and let me know you have been by the blog. All for now,Sue x

I just LOVE christmas, so I don´t mind at all, and this is just gorgeous. I love this die too and the small Poinsettas just looks marveless on there as well, and the deepred color is fabulous. The entire card is very very elegant and sophisticated, and I really love every detail on it. Stunning work, so let´s just see some more of that ha ha ha.
Have a great day.

I love your new card. It's so beautiful I don't see how anyone can be upset about the theme. When I opened the image to a new page, it was large enough that I had a good view of the swirls. They are a nice compliment to the fabulous looking pointsettas.

Not sure I could use the glue so elegantly but it does finish off the card.
Not really a bauble person but love the background. I have just started christmas (shush) but it will be a long haul!

Well done Chris! I always have good intentions to start early but it never quite seems to happen.
Beautiful layout as ever Sue. I really have to get some of that glue as pearl embellishments can get costly.
Good luck with everything you have planned for the coming weekends - do you ever slow down?
Hugs to you and yours, Buttons x

I love Christmas so bring it on! Like the ornament die but the snowflake pendant die is may favourite. Have been playing with ideas for this years design already. However,if you check my house out in October I'm sure you'll find that I'll have only just started my cards and they're drying on just about every surface!!! So good for you getting ahead.x

Wish I could get started for xmas but rearranging my craft room and its taking forever. Love the card and will need to have a practice with the faux pearls before attempting to put them on a card.

that is such an elegant card I can enjoy it in july! I am loving the crochet ribbon, I missed out on that, hmmm I wonder if when you are sourcing supplies you can track down more fantastic ribbons.... And that tape (? hemp tape?)- someone else stamped on it in another show with distressed inks it looked well cool.
