Birthday Wishes

Hi there my crafty friends!  I selected some decorative papers from my craft stash.  I used a brown striped piece for the top of my card.  I added a cored piece of brown card at the bottom.  I cut a thin piece of black card and glued it across the join area.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangles, I cut a multi-layered frame using a wider taupe base and a thin brown frame on top.  I added mounting foam to the back of the frame then attached a piece of decorative paper to it.  The decorative paper was the reverse side of the striped paper.  I cut Pet Pal Dottie out of milk card.  I used a smoothie and inked him with antique linen ink.  I cut a striped shirt to go on him, then used a brown fine tipped pen to add in the spots and face detail.  I cut an envelope and added a pale pink heart and attached it in his mouth.  I cut several hearts out of pale pink and glued them around his head.  I cut the Birthday Wishes sentiment in black and added it to a white backing piece, then attached it before the frame.  The card was completed with milk and brown mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8"  in size.
