A Million Thanks

Good Sunday morning all!  Today's background was created using the Boulevard Lights, Sandstorm and the Molten Gold Pixie Sparkles.   I use the Square Postage Stamp Frames and cut it in black.  I mounted it in a diamond orientation, then cut the next smaller size out of some leftover pixied card.  I added one more smaller black die cut on top.  I used the Scalloped Circles and cut two in white nd matted them then added them to the centre.  I cut the A Million Thanks sentiment out of gold mirror card, shadowed it in black  and glued it to the centre of the card.  I used the foliage panel from the Buttercup Floral Panel die set and cut it out of gold mirror card twice.  I nipped it away from the frame and used the two pieces as accents around the postage stamp mat.  I added some small black flowers from the Mini Cosmos set to the vine.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 1/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue
I think if I tried to recreate this background it would look terrible I do love the stamp squares. I can't go to the NEC craft show this weekend because I am having an injection in my foot so will shop on line. Steph sending hugs I hope you are recovering. Take care everyone x

Hi Sue
The photo looks a bit sombre on my iPad but no doubt the background is amazing in real life.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, I think that the background on this is a little bit too dark although in real life it might look completely different with the gold standing out catching the sun.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good Morning Sue. I agree with Kitty this morning Very dramatic background .. And great for the men. I actually like it. It's very different. And with a few of your nautical and underwater dies it becomes a great man card. Thankyou Sue.
Sending hugs ๐Ÿค— and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
Kind regards Ann Toppcards in Leeds.

Hi Sue. How strange, on my laptop the black looks like navy blue, bringing out the "blue" in the pixie background. Although I cannot image what it looks like in real life, it looks really spectacular in the pictures with the gold.

Morning Sue, a very contemporary look to this card, quite dark but very striking, the pixied background reminds me of a very stormy sky. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx

Morning Sue - I actually really like this! The black looks navy on my iPad but I really like that against the gold! The whole card looks really opulent - almost Romanesque in style with the gold laurel leaves! Gorgeous! Colleen xx

Hi Sue

Although I like the dies you have used for this card, I’m sorry but the background is too dark and grungy for me. It probably looks better in real life though.

Love Helen xxx

What a very unusual coloured background. Some of the composition reminds me of the Roman Empire. WakeyL

Hi Sue
The mix of pixie sparkles has certainly created a very opulent background for the postage stamp squares and the gold leaves

Love and hugs to everyone

I love it when you demonstrate how we can use other dies and extend the use of our dies. This is a beautiful card. Hugs.

Hi Sue, I'm not sure about this card, I don't know if it is the colours or just the photography not doing it justice. I do like the background and the postage squares but the whole is just not doing it for me, I'm sorry.
