Christmas Double Day

Hi bloggers!  First up today is a cobalt blue and milk card.  I started by embossing a piece of milk card with the Falling Snow embossing folder.  I added a strip of cream pearls to the upper and lower edges of the card.  I cut the Eve die out of cobalt blue card as a base for my focal element.  Next I cut the Carol die out of milk card.  I cut the centre of that die in cobalt blue and left in some of the fall away pieces then back it in milk card and emboss it together.  I cut the Let It Snow Mini Expression in milk card and glued it across the centre.  I cut two of the Frosty Snowflake Corners in milk, then used spray glue o them and glittered them with Diamond Snow and glued them to the outside of the focal element, curving round it.  Milk and cobalt blue mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  9" in size.  Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two started with a piece of antique gold card which I embossed with the Poinsettia Trellis embossing folder.  I added small pearls to the centres in the embossing folder pattern.  Next I cut the Star Wreath three times out of coconut white card and stacked them.  I added them onto a white backing piece (I used the die to emboss the shape into some card then hand trimmed around it)  I cut the smaller wreath from that set in antique gold several times and glued them together and placed them in the centre of the wreath.  I cut a small stitched flag and used the From Me To You sentiment in white with a black shadow.  I cut the poinsettia from the Poinsettia Cluster die in gold a couple of times and offset them and added black accent branches.  The card was completed with white, black and antique gold mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Can't decide. Can you lol ? I can't think which would be your preference if we turned that question round and said to you "which would be your choice Sue ? At one time anything with gold in would automatically say Festive but not these days colour doesn't count, although there are people that still prefer the 'old traditional colour scheme' both of today's samples are gorgeous and so much inspiration to take from them thank you. Hope you have a really nice day xxx

Such texture on these cards! The white snowflake corner over the white embossed falling snow just made me weak. And the gold embossing behind the two star wreaths gives your eyes a tactile sensation. Amazing!

All the best to each and every papercrafter on board.
