Thanks

Hello bloggers! I started with the background for today's card.  I embossed a piece of coconut white card using the Bed Of Roses embossing folder.  I decide to paper grout it so I spread Polar White Sparkle Texture Paste across the top of it and using a palette knife, I removed the excess so the paste was just laying in the recesses of the design acting as a grout.  I allowed that to dry overnight (although it doesn't actually take that long).  Using the smaller die from the Blossom Edger die, I cut two strips out of white card and backed them with antique silver card.  I added mounting foam to the back and attached them to each side of the card, framing the focal element.  I cut the Mauritius die in white twice and backed both of them with antique silver card.   I crisscrossed them and added them to the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment and embossed it in silver.  I cut the centre die from the Mauritius die set in white and used the oval to cut the sentiment out  I stacked them together in the centre of the card.  I completed the card with white, silver, white layered mats.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  7 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, such a lovely card today, your embossing and die cutting is always so crisp and sharp.

Lorraine sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt, it is times like this that we do question what will happen in the future.

Yvonne PP, hope you are feeling better after all the frolics and festivities.

Elaine I hope Andrew was OK with the bloods yesterday and that his chemo goes well today, he is on the home stretch now, how many more sessions does he have.

Tina T - How is Peter today, you must be so concerned that GP's was closed and neither Macmillan Nurse or Community Nurse contacted you or changed his dressing, I am sure you will get on to them first thing, hugs. xx

Nanna Tina, Kept thinking of you yesterday as you said farewell to your lovely Mick and what a good idea about the baubles, he would have been so proud of you.

It is going to be another freezing cold and foggy day today so if you are venturing out please be careful, or else stay in doors and wrap up warm, if you can find time then have a play with all your new craft products.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Good morning Sue and crafters all,
What a beautiful card, love this background for, not got the other dies yet.
Pam - hope you got your work done and now on a lovely break.
We had a day from hell yesterday!!!!!
Phoned doctors for a home visit at 8:00 when they opened, atv10:00 am Dr Jo rang me very concerned regarding recent blood tests and said he would be here at 1:00 when surgery finished. True to his word on the dot he was here, did all the checks no was low, temp high etc arranged with the surgery to get an ambulance on a blue light this 1:15pm so packed a bag for him and waited, waited, waited at 2:45 rang the surgery back saying no arrived finally arrived at 3:15 then they did all the checks etc.
We finally arrived in Major's at A &E at 4:10pm. Peter was so tired, tried three times to get blood (doesn't that tell you he is dehydrated) had X-ray and finally a lovely young staff nurse put a cannula in and a 500ml bag of fluids up. So at 10pm left him in their care. Me I was shattered, and to crown it all I had got my son to take my car up to the hospital so I could get home he could only park it nearly a quarter of a mile away in one of the hospitals carparks.
His community nurse came at 12:00noon no word from Macmillan nurses.
June Smith - hope your goodie bag has arrived. Be careful going out very cold and frosty.
Nanna Tina - my thoughts where with you yesterday and are with you at this moment.
I hope you had a lot of comfort from your family and friends.
Elaine - hope Andrews chemo goes well, my Peter declined it , last year had extensive radiotherapy (28 sessions) and at the moment looks like a skeleton with a skin covering him.
My love and crafty hugs to all this crafting family.
