Dove of Peace

Hello there my crafty friends!  Today's video showcases the Dove of Peace die set.  I have used it with some non Christmas dies, but I always say not to put away your other dies just because you are working on Christmas cards!

The winner of this week's Wednesday card giveaway is:

Aggie Osborne!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your card.

The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Very much like this dove card, Sue, love the floating element and the flappy wings.
Clever use of the corners for embossing, seem to remember them from somewhere! Thanks for the video, as instructive as ever.
Good show last night with the gorgeous Lee (with the addition of freedom club and split payment offers) gorgeous samples, particularly liked the four panel silver-and-white Noel card. Hope to catch some shows today, but OH DEAR late show may clash with Strictly somewhat - wot a dilemma!! Sadly don't have a recorder.
Well done to Aggie on the card win.

Hi Sue. Gorgeous card and a very instructive video (as usual). Fabulous show last night, so pleased to see that Hochanda are offering split payments - I hope the set I want is still available this morning when I've had chance to look on line and see what else I "need" to add to my basket!
Congrats to Aggie on your win, Hugs to all. Sue XXX

Morning Sue,
A wonderful card as usual knowing you.
I loved your show last night, I love your demos, I have most of your Christmas dies this year well let's say two thirds of them. So I've got some in each bundle. But never mind. I'm so enjoying your demos.
Have my HD box ready to tape all your shows today in case I miss any. Also so I can go back and used them for inspiration. Or when I'm trying to make a similar card.
Have a wonderful day today.

Morning dear Sue hope you feel refreshed and looking forward to another lovely day showing your fantastic dies, beautiful samples and radiant smile that shows just how much you adore what you do, and that brings a smile to our face too.
Unfortunately I had to record the 8pm show but it was well worth the wait to catch up, you were brilliant, and I won't give up on the letterpressing technique as it looked sooo pretty.
I had an unexpected surprise when I got home from buying my cello bags from a shop that sells a whole range of goodies, 2 packages had found their way into my basket would you believe !!! Such competitive prices, it was too much hassle to take them back, so I gave them a thorough telling off, a quick cheeky smile, and 'tucked' them up safely with their other festive friends : )
So thanks to a couple of very special friends, and a couple of stowaways I now have a couple of your new festive collection to get me started.
I'm so relieved we have no doggy school today as it means I can join many hundreds of Sueaholics in enjoying your shows today in between finishing a couple more cards and organising baskets ready for tomorrow.
Have a really enjoyable day Sue, and I hope your special guy will have your pizza ready for later to help you wind down after a long day.
Sending you love and hugs.

Hello WW
Just a quick update b4 I have my Friday night sleep...lost doggy found its way back to babysitter's house the next morning! Other than being soaking wet (? No rain that night), she was in fine shape :) She is only 8 months old had only been at the sitter's house for 2-1/2 days, so we were concerned she wouldn't know her way back, but she did! We were all so relieved to say the least. She just thought the whole thing was a game of chase I guess. Anyway will check back in later & watch the video. Ttfn! Rebecca in Colorado

Good Afternoon lovely Sue and the fab Wilsonettes,

Long time no see! I've had a tough few days hence my absence, but more about that later, firstly I just want to say that the Christmas cards and demos since Wednesday have been positively exceptional-I will most definitely be giving them all a go in my own cack handed way in the hope they bare more than just a passing resemblance to the glorious originals. I have no excuses but to give them a go cos I have all the required elements, just as soon as I complete my final 80th birthday card- almost ther barring the flower and foliage...I even made my own stick pins!!??!Who cares if it's for a man:-)
It's been a positive Sue fest in my house today trying to catch up with all of her shows- don't have the popcorn, Vienetta (dear God, not again!) or Shloer like dear Louise, just a cup of fruit tea and some Maltesers so I don't get distracted:-)Suffice to say I am thoroughly enjoying the experience and well done Hochanda for introducing flexi buy and giving bigger discounts, if I had custody of the credit card this weekend the damage would have been substantial!
I've been under a lot of stress at home which have led to a spate of seizures- my main concern though is my uncle in Yorkshire who has been put in an induced coma and given little hope of recovery. Rather than sit by the phone my Mum will be travelling down to help my Aunt but they are all in bits even though he hasn't been keeping well for some time now. It's a reality that you avoid accepting until you have no choice, and my Mum being the youngest is struggling with the reality of the situation. I've been charged with keeping the home fires burning and looking after our babies, a cattery stay will only become an option if the worst comes to the worst:-(
I see that it has been a challenging time for Tracey too, your positive attitude is a lesson to us all, I admire your fortitude. Advances and early detection really boost your chances thankfully and I wish you well in your recoveryxx
To anyone else facing difficult times, I am thinking of you all and sending comforting hugsxxxx
Yvonne, I've missed you girl:-) so good to see you back with us, I've missed your wicked sense of humour and I need it more than ever at the minutexxx
Rebecca, so glad your friends puppy came back home, if only they could talk the dirty little stop out:-)amazing that he managed to find his way home! You were quite understandably in bits- I've spent the entire night wandering the streets when my little angels fail to come home, there is nothing more stressful.
Melody, thinking of you and Milly, I hope that she is recovering as hoped forxxx
Love to Beth, Deb C, Theresa and all the galsxxx

Crafty hugs,

Hi Sue

Do you know, I've just read all the comments while watching the end of your last show for the day and I've got to the comment and completely forgotten what the card you made today is. Sorry! I shall comment generally then pop back re the card and anything I forget.

Have enjoyed the shows I've seen and will watch the rest tonight (thank you sky box). I have been meaning to buy a whole list of things for the last 3 weeks for me and Billy and I get as far as checking prices, stock etc then I get sleepy and go back a day or two later having to re research it all again! Shows definitely make me yearn for some die play though... I might also decide which new dies I want- we're only up to six weeks now of me being undecided, had to laugh at Hochanda, all the sets had a die in I already had!

Congratulations Aggie xxx

Happy birthday Cheryl xxx

Rebecca, glad the puppy found it's way home xxx

Sunshine Pen and Lorraine, it must be so hard caring for family when they're ill. Whether they are near or far away it brings worrys and responsibilities, I will be thinking of both of you xxx

Theresa W, thank you xxx trying not to have major expectations of it and just be thankful for any small improvements. The consultant is sending some written stuff about this for us to understand what an intravenous infusion is and why it works.

Mr W brought me some little bite size shortbreads with caramel and choclate- think it was a guilt thing as he's gone out to watch the rugby. Only an inch square each and just melted in the mouth so I ate all 10! Wish I hadn't... wish I'd have checked the numbers first- 71 cals each and so much fat and sugar (arrrrgggghhh!) -now all I crave is nicotine (I stopped the nicotine gum this week). That'll teach me for being greedy. Guess now best I can hope for is to feel sleepy again until this passes, online shopping must again wait!

Have a lovely evening everyone. Hoping to catch up again sometime on Sunday, hugs to you all witn loadsextra if they're needed,

T x

Hi Sue
Beautiful card today, you really are spoiling us and yes a die is for all year round not just Christmas! Thank you for sharing. Well our poor record box doesn't know what's happening today with Your shows and the grandprix being recorded! I've caught a few minutes as I've been dashing in and out - it's lovely to see Alex so enthusiastic at what you are doing - it's very genuine. Hubby was amazed by the shaving foam - we had to watch that bit in full before we went shopping! It's rugby on our house - strictly will be catch up and sue on record! That's organisation got you. Enjoy your evening Sue
Love Diane G xxxx
Congratulation Aggie xxxxx

Good evening Sue,
Brilliant card love all the different textures.
Might have a go at a few things you have done.
Fantastic shows, love how you managed to "show us" things with out all the interruptions.
You really deserve to relax, put your feet up and be looked after.

Evening Sue
Beautiful card. Your inspiration for Christmas cards is such a Godsend. Having become a Wilsonette officially this year it will be a joy to say yes to friends and famliy when asked to make special Christmas cards. Although in the past I have always obliged I know that this year even I will be pleased with the result - and it's all down to you.
Well how exciting has today been. I watched last nights show and the repeat - just to ensure that I didn't miss anything. The predicament of Wilson or Strictly was resolved by recording Strictly - last nights and this evenings to view over the next few days. Sue - I do hope you appreciate that watching you beat watching those male dancers with their wonderful tight bottoms in their tight trousers. I have to say that there are not many people who would stop me watching such a paragon of the male form x
I have to say Hochanda definitely seem to be getting their act together. Now that they have the flexibuy in place it does work out financially worth joining the freedom club just for the month if you are intending to bundle buy. I do believe that once the dust settles they will be a force to be reckoned with.
And my e mail was read out in the 6pm show. Alex only read out half of it though. The bit she did not read out pointed out that I was Sue's favourite Wilsonette - such a spoil sport!
Wheely Bad - Nice to 'see you' hun! Hope they can do something that helps. The fatigue is such a bummer isn't it. That's what I find the most challenging to deal with. I used to be the hyperactive, always on the go girl and am now completely the opposite and its so frustrating. Sending you hugs x
Rebecca - so pleased doggy not on the missing list anymore x
Theresa - sending hugs right back x
Lorraine/Thelma - so sorry to hear about your Uncle and I hope whatever happens your mum finds the inner strength to get through what lies ahead. I hope you start to feel better and deal with the challenges that can sometimes overwhelm us. Hang in there hun x
On a brighter note - I am pleased to inform you that the Vienetta remains fully intact. I cannot say the same for the popcorn, bar of galaxy and the bottle of schloer. Did I feel guilty - of course (not)! Hopefully Lorraine I am back for the foreseeable to keep an eye on you. Lots of love and hugs x
All the exciting viewing has overwhelmed me somewhat and I have to say that my usual Saturday dose of Casualty may have to go on the back burner as my eyes and my body are having a bit of a fight to stay awake. I can go to bed a very happy bunny having had a day full of our fabulous Sue.
Goodnight everyone and sweet dreams
Crafty hugs
Yvonne

Hi Sue
Beautiful designed card. Watched all your shows on Hochanda which i really enjoyed Sue. So many different techniques and demos i don't know how you keep coming up with all these stunning cards. The Flexibuy came in very handy gave us Crafter's the chance to buy more knowing it wouldn't hit the purse in one go.
Take care
