Hello bloggers! I have a bit of a fancy card for the giveaway today! There is a lot going on, but I just love the way it all came together and hope you will like it too. Just leave me a comment if you would like to be included in the drawing to win this one. I started by embossing a piece of
coconut white card using the
Leafy Quad embossing folder. I used
Polar White Sparkle Texture Paste and paper grouted it for a bit of extra bling. I set it aside to dry for a while then cut four of the
Portuguese borders out of white card. When the background was fully dry, I hooked the centres of the borders over the top and had them meet in the corners which I tucked behind. The borders provide a pretty, and fancy frame for my background. Next I used the
Classic Adorned Design Noble to create a debossed frame. I cut it in the middle to make it a bit shorter, then taped it back together and added mounting foam to the back of it. I stamped my sentiment using a
Black Archival ink pad on
coconut white card. I cut two of the
Petite Arched Adornment and added them to the inside of the frame with the straight edges lining the sentiment. I stamped a variety of the Perfect Peony flowers in black ink on
sky blue card and cut them out with the matching dies. I stamped the leaves and inked the with
Forest Moss after cutting them with the matching leaf dies. I assembled the flowers and arranged them in opposite corners on my frame, taking card to conceal the cut line in the frame. I matted my background on
sky blue card to add a bit more colour, then added my usual matting and layering with piercing to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" in size. The winners name will be announced on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x

Just love all that is going on with this card. I always like the paste and keep meaning to get some, but forget when I go to order! Must get it to be able to try out this technique.

Deb thank you for your well wishes - Dave decided to take more tiles off today and half of the wall came away with them ( at least it seemed like half the wall anyway!). We now have someone coming to skim the walls tomorrow. I just seem to get one lot of mess cleaned up and then more appears. But as you said, it will be lovely when it's finished ( I hope!)
