Hi guys, I know I seem to be bombarding you with Christmas cards lately, but I have bunches of them and so much of what I have been working on lately, I can't show just yet. As I often do, I used the negative piece from the snowflakes that I cut out for another card. I just couldn't bear to waste it. I picked an aqua based decorative paper for the background. It does have a nice tone on tone pattern to it, but I have coated it with micro beads so I couldn't get my little camera to pick up that detail (you can still see it nicely if you are holding the card though). I mounted my negative piece up on foam pieces for dimension and I added pearls to the centres of the snowflakes. I stamped a small sentiment on the same decorative paper and cut it out with one of my Vintage Lace tags and mounted it in the corner. I tied a double bow out of the aqua silky crush ribbon and added a large round Dazzler over the knot for the other corner. I was feeling the need to play again with my paved pearl technique as I find it so fun (and oddly relaxing) to do. I have had a few emails about it so just to give a quick recap on how I do it, I start with a wide border area and place random large drops of the Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue around one side. I then go back and place more random drops of a slightly smaller size around. Then I go back and fill in as I go along doing one full side at a time. By placing the random drops it helps me keep it from lining up too much, ensuring a more random nature to it. If you haven't tried this technique yet, I encourage you to have a try! I'll try to give you a break from Christmas cards tomorrow. All for now, Sue x

Just goes to show that with a little planning you can get 2 cards (or more) out of one pass through the diecutting machine. I can see the microbeads. What a nice touch to the snowflakes on that beautiful background paper.
Love it, beautiful and sophisticated!
Great idea with the negative waste.
Hi sue what a stunning card i love the snowflake dies, the negative are as stunning as the die what a great way to use them, i think your dies go so well with the snowflakes it reminds me of a sweet, the micro beads can tranform any plain piece of card or paper into a expensive looking card thank you sue xxx

Good Morning Sue,
Another lovely Xmas card, I wonder what you are playing with now!!!!!
I am also wondering if we can get the coconut card in a pack of its own, as I bought three packs of the neutral card stock, but I have used nearly all the white out of all of them, any chance this could happen, as it is my favourite card to use now.
Have a great day everyone.
Happy2craft
Hi Sue, what a good idea, you certainly bring great cards for us to enjoy.
Wilma
Very clever use of the negative card. I must look at this technique!
Hello Sue
Nice to see you using the waste! I seem to accumulate a lot, but as I have a Cuttlebug, my pieces are not as wide as yours....... so I will make smaller cards using this technique, but I will give it a try! Thanks for your Inspiration Sue!

Hi Sue, that is a good way of using up the negatives that are cut. Love the colours on the card as well. Bx

Morning Sue, Another beautiful card today. It is fascinating me how you can even make a card out of the negative waste and it look as stunning as this card. The micro beads enhance the snowflakes and the teal and white is a winning combination. I just love the random faux pearl technique round the edges, as yet I haven't plucked up courage to give this technique a try, I will have to give it a go, because I love it so much. Lots of love from Patricia xx
Great idea for using the negative. Love the use of the micro beads and the random pearl technique.
