Can You Believe It!

Hi everyone!  I thought I would share a little surprise with you as today is the third anniversary of my first blog post!  I cannot believe that it has grown so much over these last three years and I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for all your support.  I have really enjoyed keeping it up and reading all the amazing comments you take time out of your busy schedules to leave for me daily.
Today I am showcasing another fancy nesty folded card.  This is the same type of card that I did the tutorial on back in January.  This time we have used the Moroccan Motifs and Accents.  I started by folding my card in half and taping the Moroccan Motif to the centre of the inside fold.  I scored above and below the die in the centre of it.  This score line served as a guide for where to place my cutting plate.  By covering only half the die with my cutting plate, I cut only half the die.  I then placed my tan mat on top and embossed the entire die shape.  When you remove the die from the card, you can then fold it back along the score line so that the die shape emboss shows on the flap, but the cut part extends outward from the edge.  I cut another Moroccan motif and attached it in an offset manner.  I cut two of the smaller motifs in teal and scored them to form a concertina accent.  I stamped my sentiment and centred it with the small accent die shape and inked it with Broken China distress ink to highlight it.  I then applied the sticky adhesive over it and lined the die back up over it and taped it in place.  I cut the die, then peeled the backing paper off and added some clear micro beads and attached this to the centre of my focal element.  I cut a Moroccan die in white to add to the edge flap as an accent.  Two corner pieces were cut in white and added to the flap also.  I cut a piece of teal card and embossed the Moroccan border to the outer edge as an accent.  As a final accent, I cut a small strip of teal card and added it to the front of the card near the spine.  Cosmic Shimmer pearl PVA glue dots were added every quarter inch.  All for now, Sue x

Sue
I have made cards based on this several times since I saw you do one on C&C. I even had a visit from my 15 year old great niece who had seen one I had done for my mother and wanted to make one for an art project. We photographed the whole project as we did it and her comment at the end was that no one would believe she had made it.

About your blog. While on holiday last week I went through all the blogs starting from the first, the early ones were nice but it was as if you had found a soul mate when you started using the dies and from there on I would happily make all of them.

Just had a look back at 2009 and some of your cards! I have most of the stamp sets and they dont seem to have aged at all. I had only just got sky and could watch C&C and remember the American woman called Sue was on now and then with her stamps. I just loved your style, colours and layouts and every time there was a rubber stamping show I always recorded them hoping it was you.
There seems to have been a slight increase in followers over the years!!!

Britain's year to celebrate with the Olympics and the Queens Jubilee.
Now our Queen of crafting, Sue Wilson celebrates 3years blogging. How else could I mark the occasion than with a Eurovision song by the British Icon himself. Take it away Sir Cliff.........

CONGRATULATIONS and CELEBRATIONS,
When we tell everyone your blogs the place to be.
Congratulations and celebrations
We want the world to know we're happy as can be.

Who would believe that we could be happy and contented
We used to think the best had already been invented
But that was in the bad old days before we met you
And then we let you
Walk into our lives

Congratulations.......

We were afraid that maybe your style was way above us
That we were only fooling ourselves to think you'd show us
But then one day you did and the rest is blogging victory
And three years history
You've made it today

Congratulations and Jubilations
We now tell everyone your blogs the place to be
Congratulations and Jubilations
And now the crafting world is as happy as can be.
And now the crafting world... is as.. happy... as... can... be...!!!

By the way, stunner of a card, a real gem, just like yourself. What more can I say dear friend. Sing and enjoy your moment, there are going to be many more, I am certain of that.
Big hugs and lots of love Linda xx
